Yeah, I will for sure.

I am still waiting for the wall mounts from moniprice to show up.

At home I use a single 30" ACD monitor.

At work I use dual 20" monitors.

I must admit, I prefer dual screens and not enjoying a single monitor, even though I thought I would.

The 20" are a good size, I don't need to move my head much and I get so see a lot of data*

Dual 27", isn't that killing your neck/eyes?

I love it, but just seems way too big.

If Apple made 21.5" thunderbolt displays, I would be all over them but its amazing how quickly you adapt to the size.

I am mounting the displays on the wall to get the screens further away from my face.

I would too, despite what girls say, bigger is not always better.

21.5 sounds ideal, I would love them too.

Add a pic once you have wall mounted it.

I love dual screens :) in fact, I would have x3 21.5's

deafgoose, the challenge will be the hiding of cables, one thing I hate about displays mounted on a wall is the cabling, but let's see how you go :)

I am a master of fishing wires through walls because I am obsessed with a clean looking install.

I won't disappoint. :p

I posted a picture of the Vesa 100 adapters made by Apple.

Once those adapters are bolted on, I can use any Vesa 100 wall mount I want.

I ordered some cheap ones from moniprice. They may not work but for 9$ a piece, it's worth a try.

I'm sure those mounts will work fine but you're going to need to be careful to actually find a stud to screw them in to as the spacing might be too much or too little.

I will lag bolt one of them into a stud but I wont be lucky enough to hit a stud for the 2nd mount. I will use some heavy duty anchors for the 2nd mount. ;)

If I were you and you had access to some wood I would lag bolt wood to a stud for the 2nd display and just screw the mount onto the wood where ever it hangs over. There is no way even if you have the heaviest duty anchors that I would trust it to hold a TB display off sheet rock. That's just asking for trouble....

The anchors I am going to use are rated for 90lbs each. I will be using two anchors. The display is only 23lbs. I am really not worried about it.

question

the base model mini and the server one does not do "dual thunderbolt dislpay"?

Trouble with Mac Mini and Dual Thunderbolt displays

Correct. Only the mid level mini can support 2 thunderbolt displays.

Deafgoose,

I just bought a mac mini and dual thunderbolt displays just like you but I having a problem connecting it to my second monitor.

I understand that you can't daisy chain the monitors off of mini but I'm having a hard time even connecting the second one using hdmi.

Can you let me know which cable you used to hook up the second display to the mini? It would really mean a lot to me.

Thanks
