The political world and the online marketing world have mastered this over the years.

Exactly this. If you really want to hide what you are doing it's best to have a normal really boring public profile. If you don't then you are actually more visible as an outlier.

Starting up a VPN service is a tough one considering what is already out there. Then again, the timing is right as Google is ending its VPN services soon and maybe this company will acquire their VPN setup. While a Swiss Army Knife-style setup is nice on paper, rarely do I see a product/service of this sort be top-notch in each of the features they offer.
