I got an email with a link to the license instructing me to review it and accept the agreement before purchasing the $99 program....yet I have no clue how I'm supposed to do that?

I don't see an agree/submit button or anything on the page

I received my e-mail as well. I also could not find a way to accept the agreement. I've tried with Safari from my Mac and Explorer, Firefox, and Opera under Windows. The page's source has script code that asks you to check an acceptance box, but there doesn't seem to be either a check box for acceptance or a submit button on the page.

My impression is that you have to 'accept' this agreement before it will forward you on to the page where you can purchase the developer's license. The only reference to the $99 Standard Program, that I could find, is on their main iPhone Developer Connection page and it only supplies an 'Apply Now' button.

Am I missing something, or is this just an oversight by Apple on their developer's agreement page?

I just called the Apple Developer Connection and they said that this is a known issue and they are working "around the clock" to fix the problem. They also said they would email everyone affected as soon as it's fixed. This is taking a little too long...

I checked this morning and they've now corrected the agreement page. I checked the little box and clicked the submit button and ordered my Standard package.

:)

Okay, so I paid for the program and the order status says it has been electronically delivered but I have received no email with any firmware or SDK. I did receive an invoice reminding me I paid 100 dollars, however. Has anyone else been waiting for this electronic delivery, or am I alone?

You have to download it. Login to http://developer.apple.com/iphone and you will see the link in the downloads section. There is an OS for the iPhone and one for the iPod Touch.

Also on the right side you will see a small link that says "Program Portal". That is where you manage your developer account. Make sure you read EVERYTHING in there and go step by step. It is quite a tedious process to get setup.

I don't see an iPhone or iPod Touch OS in the downloads section. Also, I don't see a program portal... I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Did you get the email with subject line: "iPhone Developer Program Activation Code"?

It has your activation code. If you did not get it yet, then check your spam filter.

I have the same problem; I registered (i.e. paid for my iPhone developer program) about 12 hours ago but all I have had so far is an Order Confirmation email.

Something has appeared in the Software Download section on the my account page in the store, but it's just for information and there's no link to click.

Will something be activated after a period of time so I can see the certificate and firmware downloads? Have you now received your certificate?

I just want to run my own code on real hardware!

so glad i'm not the only one... Basically i've paid up and had an emailing confirming my payment, but not had any other emails.... Logged into the iphone dev site and there is just a message in the downloads bit saying i've bought the package, but no link or anything...

Is it just a case of having to wait for further confirmation?

Slightly off topic (and a little premature considering i've not got my dev program up and running yet), but does anyone knows if i can still use my iPhone for normal use (ie. phone, email, ipod) when it's also being used as a "development phone"?

You should have gotten an email with your activation code. It says to click to link to automatically activate (this didn't work for me, i had to manually enter the code on the page that it took me to).

The links on the iPhone Dev center should become active when you are logged into your account. If you are and they are not active...then Apple might have just screwed up. The whole process seems rather buggy to me!

As far as using your phone for normal use, most of us only have one personal iPhone to use and develop on. I have continued to use my phone with no problems even after running my own apps on it.

I attached two pics below. One is what the email you get looks like. It has your activation code as a link, you click and that activates your developer account.

The other pic is http://developer.apple.com/iphone AFTER you have logged in. You can see the section where you download the 2.0 firmware. You also see a link to the program portal. That is where you manage your developer account.

BTW, I got the email the same day I purchased the developer program. I don't remember if it was instant or maybe an hour afterwards.

I've got another email with the activation code! :D :D
I guess I just had to be patient. It took about 24 hours for this to come through after I had paid up, so I guess I should have just been a little patient! Right I'm off to download os2 and "have a play". Thanks a lot for everyones help! Happy days!

My activation arrived after 24 hours too!

I was just being impatient. The delay might be because I'm in the UK - if each application needs manual approval or something then the time difference would explain why I had to wait.

Anyway, I am now running my own applications on the iPod touch! Happy days indeed!

The next task is to get to grips with using multi-touch and accelerometers in my code.

Yay!

:D

i had to jailbreak my iphone (currently running 1.1.4) since i am outside US.. now if I update to OS 2.0 would I still be able to jailbreak it and keep on using it for personal phone as well as my dev device?
