Exchanged For A Perfect iPad!

So I discovered some specks of dust under my 3 day old iPad, and it didn't bother me that much, but I figure I should bring it into Apple & see what they say.

The Apple Genius guy I dealt with was really nice. I showed him the dust particles, but he was adamant that one of it was a half stuck/dead pixel.

So he instantly exchanges it for a brand new OEM iPad. He activates the new iPad, and I sign onto my Gmail to download the color test background to check for dead/stuck pixels on the new iPad.

The genius & I both checked it over, and we couldn't find anything wrong with the iPad! :D He also insisted that if I do happen to find anything wrong with it, to come back as many times as I need to

Yeah, I have found two smallish specks underneath the glass on my ipad, and I can't even see them with the screen on, but they really bother me when the screen is off. I know that they don't really impede my use of my ipad, but I feel like if i spent $830 on it then it should be perfect. I hope I get an exchange, because I've had it for under a week, but I'm not counting on anything.

I did call applecare and they said they would replace it no questions asked but I'm not sure if they know how minor the damage is.

I got my replacement ipad delivered yesterday.

This one is perfect with no dust or dead pixels.

I was really happy with the customer service as they despatched me a new one straight away without even having the old one back. I thought the staff on the phone might be pissed off with me reporting such a tiny flaw, but they seemed more annoyed than me that there was something wrong.

Now I`am just waiting for my case to come. I had to pay over the odds from elsewhere though as the estimated delivery for a case is 3-4 weeks from the online store.

Happy customer :p
