eBay seller pays $800 for #1 spot in line, missing ONE important piece of info

very nice.

For those unable/willing to watch the video. A woman planned to buy $100,000 in iPhones to resell on eBay.

She bought the #1 spot from some kid for $800. And then after she got into the store, didn't realize she could only buy 1.

It's not as if you just find $100,000 lying around; she must have had a good while to check for such details.
Wasn't it known that there would be a similar limit?

She thought she was being so clever.

I have little sympathy because if her plan had succeeded (to buy $100,000 worth of iphones) she may have deprived 200 or so ordinary buyers of what they wanted.

I like that guy. Smart, Cunning, like-able personality. Got his phone and all the trimmings FREE and didn't lose his spot in line even after being paid off.

Pays to be in the right spot at the right time when stupid people with money roll through.

I should be so lucky......:rolleyes:

Maybe the best thing ever. I don't like E-Bay resellers on this kind of stuff anyways, but that was just awesome.

I hope nobody mugged her and took her remaining 14k in the parking lot.

Haha she paid 1500 for one iPhone.
 
At the end you hear someone saying to the kid "She didn't seem real happy with you", so I guess she tried to get her 800 bucks back. Glad he didn't give it to her. :)

Speaking of pwned, check out the current (and especially completed) iPhone listings on Ebay.

I walked into SF's Stockton street store at 8:15 last night, and strolled right
up to the register with no wait at all. Likewise, a friend went to the Corte Madera
store and waited 10 minutes at 8:30... Gotta love it!
 
wow. just wow. the woman really thought she was going to just waltz in and buy 150 ipods, right in front of people who were waiting all day because they wanted to buy one for genuine enjoyment?

cold. very cold. she can go cry in her luxury SUV.
 
It could only be better if:

1) She is one of those whose eBay closed with no bids
2) ATT turned down her credit when she tried to activate it herself.

Good for that kid... and better on her! LOVE IT

That's hilarious. Serves her right trying to buy all the iPhones and leave none for the other people that have waited in line.
