Interesting to see how one single image can be re-interpreted and 'improved' by post-production. But most changes seem to be heavy-handed; ie it's tempting, when making adjustments, to go a little bit further... to create a little more drama.
The time to make the important adjustments is when we're 'out there' in the landscape. Natural plays of light will do amazing things that even Photoshop cannot replicate. If we shoot pictures in a hurry, and think "I'll sort it out when I get home", we'll always be rescuing so-so pictures... rather than tweaking the levels on really good ones.
