Edu discount on the higher ed store in the UK is 14%, and 9% on for other edu stores

I hope it gets a higher ed discount, because that drives down the cost of Applecare too

Darn that blinking lack of multi tasking though

I'd see maybe around $50. The mini, selling for $600, gets a $50 discount, and the MacBook at $999 gets a $100 discount.

Yeah I think that's more like it. I got a $50 discount for my new mini. I think Apple should offer $50 or more for the discounts because this is a device that will be targeting students and offering them a nice discount could be good word of mouth buzz.

We shall see. I'm hoping there's at least a $50 discount. $75 would be great but I think that's asking too much from Apple.

My Prediction

I'm thinking no discount, because the low-end model is already priced so cheap, or a $50 discount, because $449 looks cheaper than $499, or $450 for that matter. I'm buying the 32GB with Wi-Fi regardless.
