I can confirm airdrop now works, tested on my iPhone 6 (running iOS9) and Macbook Air 13" Early 2014 (running 10.11.1)
- As for the new emojis, iOS9 doesn't support them yet. Tried sending the new smilies from Mac to iPhone and only received question marks, will probably be supported once 9.1 is out
- noticed also that the battery power estimate value is back to its normal levels for my Macbook Air. Before (10.10) I was getting 7-8 hours average (minimal use), after 10.11 it went down to 3-4 hours. with 10.11.1, its back to the usual 7-8 hours average again
Last beta (10.11.1 (15B22c)) fixes what was broken in AirDrop.
Thanks if I 'forget this network' via iPhone -have I got to setup router password etcEverybody with Airdrop issues, do the following test: disconnect your devices from your WiFi networks, but don't turn WiFi off on your Macbooks/iPhones/iPads. Just use the "Disconnect" or "Forget this network" options in OS X or iOS. Then try using Airdrop between your devices and see if it works or not.
This was the only way I made Airdrop work again on my devices (rMBP/10.11, iPhone 6+/9.0.1).
