I've officially given up, another week has gone by no word from support, my apple id has been deleted and I guess i should consider myself lucky that my email still works. I'm going to transition off of using iCloud as my primary email and move towards gmail. As much as I hate to do it, it's clear I can't rely on apple for my primary email even for the products they sell me like FaceTime.

Good Luck to the rest of you guys with the same issue, I hope it gets resolved.

I have has closure on this one I have 2 IDs:

me@gmail.com where the address registered is me@gmail.com and

me@mac.com where the address is me@me.com

I was trying to add both email addresses for iMessage and Factime and was getting said error. Initially my me@gmail was assigned to the me@mac.com ID and despite being deleted this would not delete. Apple Engineering have removed it for me but I still couldn't use both email addresses.

Appears you can only add one Apple ID and only one of each individual email address which must be linked to said ID. So even if I was to change the me@gmail.com ID to a yahoo email addy it still wouldn't work. I am not submitting a feature request to allow multiple IDs to log in.
