So, I’m attempting to do this myself lol. I created the “inbox” and “sent” box under where it says “on my Mac” in my Apple mail. Those are the only two mail boxes I have for my outlook email. If I open my inbox and highlight all the emails and then drag them into the inbox I created under “on my Mac” and do the same for my “sent messages”, those messages will be safe there in those mail boxes I created and I’ll be able to delete my Outlook account and then re-create it as an “Exchange” account and then I would open the “inbox” I created and drag the messages into the new inbox and sent box mail boxes for my new Outlook/Exchange account? Photos below for confirmation of the mail boxes I created and the exchange account that I’ll use to create a new account.

Hold on. That doesn't look like the two folders are under "On My Mac".

When you create the new mailboxes the dialog should look like this:

And the folders would look like this:

Yeah I saw that. So with my apple mail open, I went to the bar across the top and clicked “mailbox” and then in the drop down I clicked “new mailbox” and this window popped up (see pic) and I named one “inbox” and the other “sent”. I tested and was able to drag an email into the new inbox and then open that inbox and drag the email out and back into the actual outlook inbox. Sorry about this. Thanks for the help. I really want to get this done and over with so I’m rolling the dice on myself lol

@BrianBaughn Does what I posted above seem to be ok? In the post above I posted a video and pic to show you what I’m doing to create the mail boxes. Thanks so much.

I think, because your account is set up as POP, that all your mailboxes are "On My Mac". However, as an extra backup precaution, right click your Inbox folder and do an "Export mailbox…" to somewhere on your computer and then do the same with the Sent folder.

You should be good to go then.

All set. Thank you so much for the assist. All set. I ended up contacting apple for a little help, but you got me where I needed to be. Thanks to both of you that chimed in on this. Really appreciate it.
