For those that want EMOJI icons but don't want to fork out $.99, boy do I have the cure for that. Some of you probably already know about this, but the original easter egg digits did not work on my fw 3.0 b2. However, the following digits DO WORK!

Make sure you do this now so you will have it. Once you do, back up your phone and whenever you restore from backup, you will forever have emoji.

On your phone, search for the SPELL NUMBER app. It is FREE. Put in this series of digits:

91929394.59

CLOSE THE APP - you can't hit return or anything else after you put in the digits and the app "spells" it out for ya. Go to your settings/general/international/keyboard -> under JAPANESE, you should see enable emoji toggle.

I restored my 3.0 beta 2 as a NEW iPhone because my youtube doesn't work when I use my 2.2.1 restore backup. I lost my emoji from my previous JB. Now it works again!

Give it a shot before they upgrade the spell number app!!

This worked for me just now :)

very cool... I was just thinking how I wanted back my emoji from my previous jailbroken iPhone

I was able to get the option for the keyboard but cant actually get the keyboard to come up.
I'm sure you know this already, but you're supposed to click on the little globe next to the 123.

On another note, I think there is a bug on the emoji keyboard. There is no globe or delete key on mine, like there is on this pic.

im so confused... would only iPhone users get emoji?

iPod touch users can get them too. but there's not a lot of use for them on the touch since really the only place to use them is the SMS app for sending messages to other iPhone users.

I guess you could use them in emails or just notes, but... why?

It's weird - you can't actually get the keyboard option in email (at least I don't have it), but you can copy and paste icons from SMS to email... although when you send them to an email account not being viewed from an iPhone they're obviously broken.
