Glad to see that I'm not the only one that finds no need to have each and every device and stay connected everywhere I go. It can be very refreshing to be 'disconnected'.
when he says PC, does he mean PC = Microsoft (Windows), or does he mean PC as in something with a full OS (either OS X or Windows).
I have similar feelings, I'm going to stay on the Mavericks for a few years. If something like this happens I probably move to Linux.
Does anyone remember the pre-"PC" days when there were IBM computers and “IBM compatibles” or “IBM clones”? I don’t recall when the term “PC” was first coined.

1981, when IBM released their first 'IBM Personal Computer'. Prior to that, green screen terminals were the norm in the workplace.
The green screens were easier on the eyes than the blue ones. At least on my eyes.
