No mass produced gadget will be perfect. Having written that, beyond happy with my new 10.5 and 12.9. Amazing devices. No noticeable defects. Of course I'm not looking for them either with a microscope like some folks.

Agreed. When you mass produce millions of iPad units, there will be imperfections. It's how it is. It just seems worse than what it is on tech forums with others congregating with the defects they noted. It's important to remember Macrumors is a small place compared to the other millions of iPad users who never report their satisfaction to an iPad forum and who enjoy their devices every day.

I don't understand why people complain, both of my iPads work as they are supposed to do,even if the old first generation iPad is no longer supported.
Guess most complains is people that did not know what they paid a lot of money for,an iPad is definitely not a high end computer, but it's a good replacement for people with normal needs.

So many threads talking about all the terrible things with quality control, almost like half of the entire macrumors forum is posting about all their screens (myself included) are broken or have an issue, so... I'm curious instead of asking how many people have negative problems what about everyone else?
People tend to join forums in order to complain.

I compare the phenomenon to apartment review websites. I’ve never found a web site filled with decent reviews - people flock there to complain, while happy tenants move on.

Only here, they’re often trying to kick off the next viral manufactured-issue thread.

I love my iPad Mini 4. Typing this on it right now at a ballfield waiting for a 6pm game. And my iPad Pro 12 (1st gen) is a workhorse that I’m very happy with.

Is anyone's screen super perfect, (pretty much impossible to get "perfect"...)
or is your iPP simply what you paid for (ie; no discoloration, scratched display, etc.)

**sound off below.
Got a replacement for a washed out, yellow screen. Have a great screen now. No yellow band.
