ESPN ScoreCenter 1.5 Update Approved (w/ Push Notifications)

Nice update. I like the score details in the alert, it definitely loads a lot faster, and I like the alert sound. I'll keep sportacular installed for now so I can see what their next update does. But I'm afraid they'll have a hard time keeping up now, their UI is just too clunky.

yea, push and faster load up time was what they had going for them. Now ESPN is just as fast and I like their Push implemented better with details.

Same here, I liek the mini box score they have. Worked great for the Celtics game last night. Gave Rondo's line at the end of the game, very great. Come in handy if you have guys on fantasy teams on a particular team getting pushed to you.
 
does this work for 3.0OS? Or is this for 3.1 and higher? I only have 3.0 and it's not opening for me.
 
Its working pretty good now, i just wish they would add a game start reminder.
 
Yesterday I downloaded the new ScoreCenter app and setup push notifications for my favorite teams.

Seems to be working very well for the Blues game tonight as I received alerts for their two goals so far tonight.

However...within the hour I have received push alerts for final scores for Lakers games back as far as November 22nd? So far I have received alerts for four games in November.

What's going on with this?
 
does this work for 3.0OS? Or is this for 3.1 and higher? I only have 3.0 and it's not opening for me

+1 here. I find the ESPN ScoreCenter app to be sluggish, and it always seems to bring up past days/weeks instead of the current day/week.

But I wanted to try it out with 1.5, but I can't get the push notifications set up. Is anybody else having a problem with this?? When I go to set it up, it says "You are not registered for Alerts. Please enable Apple Push Notifications in the main settings area." ... well, I'm definitely set up for Push Notifications, so I have no idea why they're giving me this error.

Is it not showing up in the updates area of the App Store for your device?? If it isn't showing up, then it probably is only for never versions of the OS
 
I set it up to compare with Sportacular. It gave me a final Push for tonight's Spurs game a minute before Sportacular. It also gives the ESPN SportsCenter theme as the sound.

I like Sportacular but ESPN has done well with the update.

I hadn't previously d/l the scorecenter. It was my first time d/l it the other day. It just closes as soon as I open it. that's why I was wondering if this was for 3.1 instead of 3.0.

Hm, normally, if you don't have the app yet, and it isn't compatible, when you go to download it from your iPhone, it will say something like "this app is only compatible with ..."
 
about time they got push, lol

works great on 3.0 for me... I ws using Sportacular pro, but I like the stats on the push notifications

i'll be using this instead of Sportstacular for push updates
 
Blah, I have yet to receive any push notification for my hockey/football teams...arg. :confused: Anybody else still not receiving there push notifications?

I haven't received a single ESPN push notification yet despite having set up the alerts in the app and rebooting my iPhone. They work just fine with Sportacular, but not with ScoreCenter.

did you also turn them on in your Settings/Notifications?

Did you wait after the first day or two of release. AFAIK, they weren't activated yet when the app was first released. So you may have to disable/enable notifications again to get them to work. I haven't missed a single notification since.
