Scotch in one hand, a latte in the other. Time to make something spicy. Thai, Indian or something simple, such as chili con carne, using veal. Choices...

Earlier today, I spent an hour or two preparing a delicious chilli con carne, and it then spent the following six hours talking to itself in the Rangemaster oven.

But, enjoy your Scotch (which one?) and latte.

Some nice chamomile. Just got access to internet after a few days of little to no connectivity. Rain cleared up days ago but we had rain Saturday, Sunday and this evening. Grr.

(which one?)
I had a half bottle of JW laying around. I decided to drink that to keep warm. Not to waste the good stuff. I had an itchy chest that day. The chili and scotch helped. I had some scotch peppers, and added those in last. Very spicy but very flavorful chili.

Latest effort.

Apart from a piping hot Ethiopian coffee before I left the house early this morning, - followed by a most welcome double espresso at the train station - most of the coffee I consumed for the rest of the day could best be described as rather underwhelming.

Hot drinks - scorching hot, not warm, tepid, or lukewarm, but hot - can offer some remedy for that condition.

I have already had a coffee - Ethiopian - at home, followed by a most welcome double espresso at the railway station.
Indeed. I learned that trick a couple of years ago. It does help, especially with a splash of drink. Hot drinks are also fantastic during the summer. Makes you feel cooler. I picked that up from a travel show years ago.

Actually it's my new Kindle. Treated myself to the new Kindle Oasis. Expensive but lovely.

Enjoy it.

Personally, I far prefer reading a 'hard copy' than reading with a Kindle or iPad, although I do understand the arguments of convenience - especially when one is travelling - in favour of these portable devices.

On topic, my Ethiopian coffee was quite lovely.

Either of you want to swap for a chilly but manageable winter Saturday with a high pollen count?
