Drinking coffee and watching some news. Learned earlier that Macron's wife happens to be an old teacher of his and their tryst began when he was fourteen-years-old.

It was mentioned in passing on ITV News and I thought I misunderstood or had misheard. It's a bit odd, but they've been together for a long time now. Not really anyone's business.

Yes, agreed; it seems that they have been together for a very long time, and very happily by all accounts.

Back on topic, I didn't have time today to prepare the Ethiopian coffee with hot milk and sugar that @JamesMike had mentioned yesterday, but - as tomorrow is Sunday - a nice leisurely pottering around sort of day - I expect that I shall manage to prepare it then; indeed, I look forward to doing so.

Rwandan coffee in the French Press.

Enjoy.

The carer was sick today, which meant that I found myself running around doing some of the stuff she normally does on a Saturday; tomorrow will see the French Press, and a saucepan (for hot organic milk) brought into play.

Ever sine you (@JamesMike) mentioned hot milk and sugar, this has been sitting in my mind, a permanent source of nagging temptation, not least as the temperature has dropped sharply since yesterday.

Why is it that when one has had "a few" drinks one makes the most amazing coffee?! The flat white I'm now drinking is amazing! Why can't I make this when sober?!!!

Prepared a delicious pot (French Press) of coffee. This comprised freshly ground beans from two types of Ethiopian coffee and one type of Kenyan.

To serve with it, I prepared a saucepan of hot (organic) milk.

Delicious.

Just drank this with some full fat organic milk. Ethiopian Fahem Limu Natural. Absolutely gorgeous.

Love Ethiopian coffee, (as this thread well knows) and I am of the opinion that full far organic milk complements it very nicely indeed.

Enjoy.

I'm growing to like it more and more. At first I was making it too weak but since I've added more beans and altered my grind settings to a bit finer, it's been lovely. This cup I'm now drinking is one of those you don't want to end. Lovely.

Funny, I really don't drink milk - not even in my cereal (prefer nut milks now) though I love any fermented dairy products (yogurt, kefir, most any good cheese). In coffee it's an exception, I still prefer mine black but some nice full fat milk in a café au lait or a cappuccino really hits the spot.

A day off today. Currently having a wonder around town. Stopped at Starbucks now for coffee and a read of my book. This will continue this afternoon in my garden, should the weather stay fine.

Enjoy your coffee and day off.

As I may have written here before, I love the idea of - and indeed, the ambience of - Starbuck's.

However, their coffee, (stale, bitter, over-extracted) leaves a lot to be desired.

For myself, just now, I am enjoying a mug of Ethiopian coffee.
