No, I don't, but I would start by reading reviews of those who have bought it.

DeLonghi make great kettles, - I have one at home and it is excellent - and have a pretty good reputation.
I’ve read a lot of reviews and it gets excellent ratings. People really seem to love it. I guess I’ll go for it! Like you said I trust the integrity of the DeLonghi name.

Yes, I must say that I am rather partial to the Le Creuset mugs, and the coffee looks (and, more importantly, tastes) wonderful when sipping from them.
interesting you prefer them over the traditional glass mugs. I love the appearance in the glass mug of the mahogany espresso with the crema on top.

Just about to enjoy this latte I’ve made.

Looking good Dave!

A very large serving of Turkish. Wasn't paying attention when I set out to make it and made enough for five people. Drank the entire thing in a large stoneware mug with a canele. Think @JamesMike likes these.

Placed two preemptive orders for very large croquembouches for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They were adamant I order earlier than I did in previous years. Though I may change the order date on the latter to New Years Eve. Still can't believe we're eight weeks away from the year finishing up. Swear it feels like late January.

I will foolishly admit I haven't ordered any coffee or bought much lately. Moving towards herbals and teas with the cooler weather. I suppose a quarter kilo every two weeks should suffice from the local roasters'.

I do like the Turkish.

I tried a new coffee today at that place I mentioned a couple of months ago. Very interesting cup. The aftertaste reminded me of freshly juiced fruit. Not a particular fruit taste, but the brightness of it and lingering subtle sour note, but that might be from the sugar I used. My guess is it was a South American blend and maybe some African as I detected some malty chocolate notes after taking a big swig of it.

Currently enjoying some Kenya AA with full fat cream.

I did. Thank you, Sceptical. I think I'll skip going in tomorrow and do some checks for the incoming rain season. Also, I can start my journey of reading another 30 books by the new year.

Coffee in an hour. A latte, perhaps. Something... anything to neutralize the copious amounts of garlic I consumed during dinner.

Enjoy. I must say I'm a bit surprised as you've been having espresso based drinks this last week or two while abroad.

As for me, no coffee. I did enjoy a delicious pressing earlier that managed to help digest dinner. Currently having some green tea with lemon, ginger and a sprinkling of turmeric. Suddenly found myself tired and feeling under the weather this week. Surely due to the massive seasonal swing over a 48 hour period earlier in the week. We went from high, hot weather to cold and raining. Quite blegh.

Though the vodka tonic I had yesterday prior to dinner improved my mood. Though alcohol has that effect. I wish I hadn't consumed so much garlic over dinner.

Back to my book now.

Looking for some advice; my mother-in-law recently traveled to Bali and has brought me back a present of Lusaka Balinese coffee. It’s basically what’s meant to be an amazing bean, eaten by a civet which is a kind of weasel, digested, passed and then cleaned and ground. Needless to say I’m apprehensive! I’ve read that it is somewhat a delicacy and it wasn’t cheap, comes in at around £6 for a V60 filtered equivalent.

Just wondering if anyone has tried it or something similar? And thoughts? I’m currently devising plans to make the MIL drink it first without letting her know just in the event this is a sabotage attempt haha!

Kopi Luwak is what you're referring to. I don't believe I've had the pleasure. To be quite frank, I consider myself an adventurous eater, but I have my limits. Though, there was once talk of coffee beans fondled by koala bears... Now the beans you have are perfectly fine. Although now you can tell us what coffee from a bean that came out of a civet's bum tastes like.
