While the first cup of coffee of the day is pure nectar, the second (which I am enjoying now) is not far behind.

Enjoying a mug of piping hot Bosnian coffee, with organic, raw, double cream and organic brown sugar, served in my Le Creuset volcanic burnt orange mug.

Gloomy weather, several fires to put out, headache, and tired... and it's not even 8:30am.
Good news is that I have a good cup of coffee next to me, so I am not complaining.

Originally I had typed out Brazilian, because I swore I bought Santos, but I suppose I thought I did. I had to check out the receipt the roasters gave me which confirmed that I'd bought Colombian. Brazil doesn't really have third wave so far (they're working on it) but they do export some quality stuff amid their junk beans.

There is something quite simply ineffable about that exquisite combination of coffee and - but, with the caveat that - to my ear at least, it must be "easy" or "smooth" jazz - and jazz.

Yep! However, this morning I didn't read the paper (wasn't in the mood), however I put PRSI in my ignore list.
While sipping this morning's coffee with my jazz, I was reading a book called "Concentration and Meditation" by Swami Paramananda (I believe it's from the 1920's) and it makes a very good argument for the reduction of "distraction" as in things and actions that confuse the mind rather then clearing it.

Exploding head syndrome led me to jumping out of bed this morning. Fun way to wake up... Currently having a quick pressing before heading to work.

I don't in this thread much, but just because the name makes me chuckle ...

Indonesian Wooly Rhino - Full City Roast, by way of whole bean >> fresh grind >> french press

I had a gift of coffee from good friends, so each month I've been getting terrific products, and many outside of my wheelhouse (the Tanzanian Peaberry was a treat).

Enjoy your coffee, your classical music, perusing the WSJ, and, above all, enjoy your chat with your wife.

Thanks! I realized that waking up a bit earlier than I should, taking time in the first hour of the morning to do all the small things with some peace of mind - instead of rushing out - is an optimal way to start the day.
