Nothing wrong with that, either.Indeed, a trusty mug of black gold from a drip coffee machine today with rye toast.
Actually, that sounds perfect.

Any thoughts on what might possibly tempt you?My coffee supply has decreased sufficiently so that I'm aware I should be looking into resupply options

Re day old croissants, there is nothing whatsoever wrong with them
Enjoying a very welcome late afternoon mug of piping hot coffee from Burundi, served with organic hot milk.
Normally, while I take an espresso piping hot, I tend to prefer my coffee hot, but not scalding. My wife and I are very different. She loves food and drinks piping hot. I cannot taste them. If drinking black, I wait till it cools some. If there's some milk added then I'm good to go from the get-go.
My old Nuova Simonelli machine failed in an impressive way. So we took a break from the morning big presentation I was running. Attendees get 10 minutes to get coffee or tea, whatever. And I wanted to get a coffee.
Well what is going on, machine won't turn on. Other pod machine won't turn on either. That's bad. Go back to my home office and computers are all off too, eek.
The Nuova Simonelli had a short-circuit inside it and tripped out the power.
Presentation continued on time but via laptop and mobile phone connection without drama.
Today I ended up getting a new machine: Rocket Espresso Appartamento TCA
I'm getting used to it but having the steam wand on the left side is completely thrown out my coffee-making autopilot ways. I'm not so fond of the turn-wheels to operate the hot-water or the steam wand (prefer levers) but it works well and seems to be built like a tank.
There are joysticks available. When I got an Izzo Alex Duetto IV from Chris coffee it came with "free" joysticks. I never swapped them and my Daughter is still enjoying the Izzo but there are accessaries you can order if you want. Chris Coffee recommends these for your Rocket.
Joystick Assembly
Overview The Quick Mill joystick assemblies are compatible with many Italian home espresso machines, not just those made by Quick Mill. Both the hot water wand and steam wand are British Standard Pipe Thread (BSPP) where they attach to the delivery pipe from your service boiler (steam boiler)...www.chriscoffee.com

Ah, yes: I do know that feeling. The very last of the Hawaiian beans were mixed with some from the emergency backup supply for this morning's coffee. I didn't think they would mix well with the Kenya beans I purchased recently.
Ah, yes: I do know that feeling.
My sense is that - similar to the concept of where food grown in a region in France goes well with wine from that very same region - coffees mix well with coffees from a similar, or adjacent, region - in other words, central American coffees would blend well, or mix well, with coffees from other central American countries, and east African coffees go well with one another.
In general, I don't much care for blends from different continents - I just don't think that they work well together.
Fortunately, I was able to avoid having to mix my coffee from Burundi (finished yesterday) with the Colombian coffee that I opened today.
Yes, that makes complete sense.I think that the roast levels would need to be compatible too. The Kenya coffee I have is a light roast while the Hawaiian coffee was medium-dark; so two very different taste profiles. The back-up coffee is a medium roast which went together with the Hawaiian well enough
