Yeah the Air is the prettiest phone they've made since the X imho. Really curious what the "Fold" or whatever name it's going to be will look like. Probably a lot like the Air. I wish the Pro would have had this glow up this year 😂

Now we wait and stare at this thing and will it to move even though there will be no movement until Thursday next week 😂😩

The iphone Air really is beautiful! I really wanted gold this year too - but since the camera and the battery life have been the biggest annoyances with my regular 15 - I know I would regret getting it eventually. So Silver pro max for me. OF COURSE no gold option :/

Pretty sure the air is also kind of a result of the development work for a foldable. Sure we will see the design to put most of the hardware in such a small space on the camera bump also on the upcoming foldable.

Very rough/coarse to the touch in a bad way. Also feels very… plastic. The sides have this FineWoven-like coating. Overall the only good thing about it is it’s color and potential toughness.
I miss apple’s genuine leather cases ☹️

Hmm ok. Doesn’t convince me now to buy one of these cases :/
I might go with a leather one after years without this time. Otherwise a standard rubber/plastik one from Spigen.

Same in Germany. Considering it's the ugliest of the 4 colours, it must have a lower production run. Sales don't seem to be so good for Air compared to the others.

Air cloud is the ugliest one? Uff.
I like the white and the slight blue colors the most of the air models.

If something went wrong you should know by tomorrow. And if all's well, you'll get the next update on Thursday like the rest of us 🤞
Weirdly, I like talking to their hotline and I hate talking on the phone. 😂 The automated responses are helpful (you put in your order number and it will read the status to you) and even the callcenter employees are incredibly nice and kind. I once coincidentally talked to the same person three times in a matter of days and at the end of the last call in the afternoon he thanked me for the nicest call he'd had all day. I really feel for these guys, they must be yelled at a lot. But they are really helpful if they can.

For the first time since I purchased my first Apple device in 2011, today I decided to order the 1 TB version of the iPhone 17 Pro.
If I’m not mistaken, iPhones and Macs have always had four storage tiers to choose from for the past decade. I’ve always opted for the third tier out of the four, but today, I decided to choose 1 TB. 😂 🤣

I know I won’t use that much storage, but I can’t predict how much I’ll need in five years from now when I might buy my next iPhone. On my current iPhone 13 Pro I use almost 160 GB out of 512 GB.

Starting this year I am going to take more pictures and record more. This year has been pretty hard on me and made me realize that some moments should be frozen in time through pictures and videos.

I always got the base storage lol but because I use apple since over 10 years the 128 started to get a littleee full. So I'm very happy that they finally start at 256 now. 😇

I wonder how much of a day to day difference I will find between my regular iphone 15 and my new 17 pro max. I have previously gone from:
Iphone 12 mini
Iphone 13 pro
Iphone 13 mini
Iphone 14 pro max
Iphone 15

So besides the promotion I didnt really notice much difference every time I switched (besides the jump in battery life between the minis and the pro/pro max).
I really loved my 14 pro max, but got a new 15 from work so I handed the pro max over to my mom.

But excited to see this time around since I will be skipping a generation, and going from a base to a pro max.

I am excited! Already ordered my cases from Ideal of Sweden

I keep flip-flopping too, going from a XS Max to an 11 Pro to a 12PM to a 14 Pro and then back to a 15PM and now a 17 Pro. 😂 Guess it will be PM again next time around, or even the Foldable?

I have four cases on standby already (Ornarto, Torras Q3 Air, ESR, Apple Clear Case), but I always switch between cases frequently so I usually have quite a collection. 😂

Sales don't seem to be so good for Air compared to the others.

I mean that's not shocking at all. Not everyone wants to spend $999 (or more for us in Europe) for a phone that has 1 mediocre-good camera, 1 speaker and mediocre battery life especially when last year for the same price we could get a Pro iPhone that had everything better except one thing - it had less storage.

Paid 7419 RON, 1720 USD, 1464 EUR for a 256GB iPhone 17 Pro Max Deep Blue, crazy difference in price compared to the US, when ordered had the estimate date on the 22nd of September, no live updates regarding the delivery, will receive a notification maximum one day before the delivery.

Yeah tracking here in Germany is also pretty uneventful. Usually starts Thursday evening with the parcel being handed to UPS (or DHL express) and most of the updates happen overnight and we wake up to a "Parcel out for delivery" notification, or in one case for my 14 Pro, with the UPS driver ringing the bell. 😂

Prices are always cheaper in the US, mostly because of VAT in Europe (US prices don’t include sales tax and their sales tax – which is added at order time – is lower than European VAT). The cost of doing business in Europe is higher than the US for many reasons.

If it’s any consolation, your price in RO is a little lower than mine in NL – I guess because your VAT is a little lower (19%, like DE) versus 21% in NL.
