Thanks.

I am also trying to find someone in Aus that stocks them.
They're new. Even in the US, the site says shipping mid-February.

Not sure if I will get one. If I do it will be to turn it around and have the ports on the back. The issue of the peg that will keep the keyboard pushed out up to an inch, not sure about that. Guess I wouldn't want it all the way under, too hard to slide the KB out.

In saving space you are also adding something. I will have to think about how that will really fit in with my desk.

What I really need to do is sell the rims in my basement and cash a couple checks in my pocket. Too bad I'm so efin busy at work.

Although it looks nice, I think it takes away from the simplicity of the iMac. It's not for me...

No thanks, I don't want my 24" iMac any higher than it already is (which is actually one of my few dislikes regarding the 24" models). I'm already shoving the keyboard onto the stand to keep the cats from waking it at nights and a separate USB hub would do a better job at wire management.

I don't know, it doesn't quite do it for me. Not symmetrical enough perhaps? I'd like to see the USB pods duplicated on both sides. If 4 x 2 is too many, maybe 3 x 2 would be better. And to really rock it out -- make both USB pods rotate individually on the base, so they can spin around "lazy susan style". That way they could face front, side, or rear. Somebody call my patent agent! :apple:

Scanning this thread people say that they want the ports to be at the back. But you will still have two of the three USB ports on the back.

I think that maybe instead of 4 ports on the front 2 on the back and 2 on the front would have been better. After-all how many times do you have 4 peripherals plugged into a machine that you need easy access to. The only things that I would think of are a USB key and maybe a USB games controller.

One thing that springs to mind:

When I place my alu keyboard on my stand of my alu iMac and have music playing, it sounds horrible.

Now you can buy this which will do exactly the same thing. If you buy one of these, think again about playing music through your iMac's speakers.

Good concept and I would buy one if there weren't two huge design flaws (The other being mentioned a lot previously)
