Ok, compare delft next to denim please.
Thank you. :)

Here are some pictures of the Hyper Black sport loop, Cerulean sport loop, and Delft regular sport on the 44mm silver aluminum.

I can see why some are saying there is a hint of purple to Delft. There’s a bit of indigo in it to me. My favorite of the three is Cerulean. It’s giving me ocean vibes with its shimmering fish scale effect.

Received the Spearmint sport band today, it looks great in person. I wore my Mint band today so that I could compare. I wasn't sure if they were going to be too similar but I feel they are pretty different. Exceeded my expectations, very happy with it. I ordered Monday night (around 10pm PST) and it arrived today!
[doublepost=1553714303][/doublepost]^Oh, and that's with the silver aluminum 44 mm Series 4 Apple Watch. Taken with an iPhone XS Max. :)

Guys, I do need your HELP...

I want to collect all LEATHER bands - leather loops and classic buckles. I know about eBay, I know about amazon, but that's not enough to find all (especially old) bands. Could you please tell me the local authorised resellers websites, where I can get the (many-many) old missing bands? I do need now almost all of them!

Thank you in advance!

Great pics!

I'm with you on Cerulean. I was wearing it today & "fish scale" effect is a good way to put it. I didn't notice it until I had it on.

I think I prefer Hyper Grape, but...it's debatable!

may have to pick up Delft, that looks like the blue I've always been looking for. ;)

oh and @BradLA spearmint looks nice, I like that more than mint!

the lilac sport loop just came in

Any chance you could get a pic of this in sunlight? It looks great.

I'd definitely watch the subreddit for selling watch bands - r/AppleBandMarket

I'd say sport bands are probably the most frequent listing, but there's someone right now looking to sell an electric blue leather buckle for $90.

Time. Watch eBay for a while and eventually someone will sell what you’re looking for. I’ve collected all of the Sport Loops mostly through eBay and only have one left!

Hot Pink 42mm is my missing link. I’ve been looking everywhere!
I can get one in the white box, if it could be interesting for you - and it would cost 71€ + shipping to you (but that most probably could be free if I would send it in bundle to my US friends with other stuff)... What would you say?

And if you will find any sources of old leather bands (classic buckle and old leather loops) - please give me a hint?

I’m wearing mine as well today, it matches my uniform very well!

I should have made this last fall when they launched Series 4... but finally I got my hands on all these different generations of the sport bands under the same name (all of them left to right):

Original Black (gen 1) vs The current Black (gen 2)
The new one is obviously lighter.
black.png

Original White (gen 1) vs Soft White vs the current White (gen 2)
The White gen 2 is darker than gen 1, and colder than Soft White. (The photo doesn't do the comparison justice as my lamp is too white, but in real life the difference is quite visible.)

Original Blue (gen 1) vs Blue (gen 2)
The new one is obviously lighter.

Original (PRODUCT)Red (gen 1) vs (PRODUCT)Red (gen 2, came with Series 3) vs the current (PRODUCT)Red
The gen 1 is obviously more vibrant. The later versions have the same color, but the one came that came with Series 3 doesn't have the (PRODUCT)Red logo on the back.
red.png

Original Pink Sand (gen 1) vs the current Pink Sand (gen 2)
The new one is slightly lighter, looks more baby pink.
pink_sand.png

Original Stone (gen 1) vs the current Stone (gen 2)
At the beginning I thought they are the same, but the gen 2 is actually lighter. And the connector of the 2 generations have different colors as well.
stone.png

Midnight Blue before Series 4 vs the current Midnight Blue
They are essentially the same color.
midnight.png

Bonus: Apricot vs Nectarine
In my opinion, these are the most similar 2 colors with different names in the history of sport bands. Apricot is slightly more orange than nectarine.

[doublepost=1554042489][/doublepost]As a result of the comparison, I added Stone (gen 2) back to the chart.
Also added the "Close Your Rings" sport loop of this year, which is an exclusive band for employees.
I'm still trying to finish my collection of all colors of Sport Bands, there's only 4 left: Lemonade, Sky Blue, Hermès Orange, and the Gray/Black which came with the ceramic edition...

I do have the Sky Blue band...

Wow, what a brilliant post! Great for collectors to see the differences in real life/light. I don‘t know what‘s more hilarious: how different some colours with the same name are or how Apple released essentially the same colour under two different names ... :D
[doublepost=1554045892][/doublepost]

Great pictures! Thanks for costing me another 59 Euros. Cerulean ordered :)

Thanks for your work on this, it's an interesting read! Any chance we can get a version of the chart without breaking each band down by release date (ie just the complete set of all the bands)?

Try the compact version in the first post, not updated with the latest releases yet, I am working on it.

So yeah I actually do think that Modern Buckle and Leather Loop are gender targeted ... which bothers me because then each are size-specific/exclusive.

The Modern Buckle and Leather Loop in the new Cornflower colour are very interestingly in different shades of blue and I've seen them irl at the store too to confirm this

Screen Shot 2019-04-01 at 12.36.29 pm.png Screen Shot 2019-04-01 at 12.36.39 pm.png

The Modern Buckle has a paler, more pastel shade of blue, while the Leather Loop is a darker and more subdued shade of blue (which I prefer but can't get because i have 40mm). Interestingly, Leather Loop didn't receive the new Lilac colour because it's evidently too feminine for mens targeted Leather Loop while Modern Buckle did get the Lilac colour.

I wish we'd just go back to Classic Buckle's which were undeniably unisex + didn’t divide by gender. Sorry Tim, thumbs down from me
