Disagree. You should post a similar shot and we can compare
Thank you, all the photos helped. Even though they are all too similar I decided to get Storm Blue. I will regret it later like I did with Mallard “Green” & Pacific “Green” and so many other Blue bands I passed up. I added Mallard ”Green” to my collection last year and it is one of my favorite Dark Blue bands. I am hoping to add Pacific ”Green” to my collection this year.

That photo is an amazing shot. The bands look so surreal and beautiful. The amount of work to get the bands placed so perfectly must of took ages and a lot of patience. All the bands look very true to their actual color except for the blue bands on the far bottom left. Even still they are so helpful at materializing thoughts of what bright and vivid Violet bands could look like. You should be proud of that. I wish we could get bands in shades of Violet that Delft, Tomales, Linen Blue appear in that photo.

Bands Ordered! I might of gone a bit overboard. 🤔😉😱😜😍

You can’t go wrong with those Nike loops. They space-dye is truly magic.

I think next time I do an “all the goo” composite, I’ll take even more subjective license instead of just matching them to what they look like to the eye in the specific lighting conditions where I edit.

By now I trust myself to bring them to a “universal average look”

no the velcro one, have that type coming with the watch but ordered the Velcro too.
Well I am generally a skinny guy with skinny wrists (you can see I purchased the S/M bands 😉) that is usually cold. I never find any kind of band I wear on my wrists, whether is Apple, Magic, Timex, etc. to be hot and sweaty. I also have not worn any of those bands I purchased yet. So I might not be the best person to answer that question. However I am sure there are a lot people here in this form that are more ”normal“ than I am and can adequately provide you with some opinions and answers.

The sport band and sport loop live up to their name. The only thing moisture and dirt will do to them is cause cosmetic damage, but even that can be largely avoided if you clean them after use. Especially now that the Nike loops don’t have reflective material which does diminish with washing.

Earliest would be first week of March like last year, normal is the equinox, but current tea is that the new iPads aren’t coming until late March, those would likely delay bands.
Another question about the timeline — are the current colors available for purchase from Apple right up until the event date or do they stop selling them earlier than that? I missed out on a Sprout Green Solo Loop (…41mm, size 3, in case anyone has an extra) by what felt like a DAY, but I can’t remember when that was relative to the event.

Would anyone that has both mind doing my a single photo with both the original Orange sport band and the Hermes Orange?

i.e. not a composite photo etc, 1 shot with them both in so they're in identical lighting etc etc. I keep finding individual pics of both and comparing them, but would just love one with both so I know it's identical conditions.

They sell them _online_ until new colors are announced. You can usually find them in store in whatever size they have in stock until they swap them out/new colors are available in the brick and mortar locations - like a week or so after announcement. Online/ebay/etc sometimes people have stock/old stock that gets sold but thats YMMV.

I am pretty sure @athousandbands and I - and a few others - have done all orange bands comparison in similar lighting, but I can try to take them both out for you later after I finish some housework.

They’re not very similar so I think you can trust the comparison here

In some ways, them not sharing a photo (but being shot six minutes apart with only the iPhone’s auto-exposure and white balance separating the ProRAW images) can produce a better result because, as Monsieur andsalsa can attest, the more bands you have in a shot hogging the same part of the color graph, the less latitude you have to edit.

At least when I use a crude tool that only lets me edit red or orange as a whole. I’ve not graduated to the fancy curvy thingy.

Essentially the only red-orange goo band they’ve done. They live for pink-orange. Spicy Orange is kinda burnt but also so hard to find.

Interestingly Spicy Orange proved easy for me, got it last week. Is OG orange then a similar colour to Spicy but a bit ‘duller’?

No much stronger. Orange SpBa is the extreme end of the orange collection. The only truly fire orange they’ve done, alongside electric orange bsl

Some bands are randomly easy to find in the uk. Good deal?

Ah thanks. Paid £30 for spicy, I didn’t think that was too bad. Would kinda like to add OG Orange too, but Chargerstore seems like the only place I can find it.

Can I please get some irl photos of the Pink Sand sport band? Just ordered this one from eBay for my pink obsessed daughter, she prefers lighter pinks and she liked what she saw but I’d love to have an irl example :) she has a starlight SE2 and hates the band it came with because “it looks gray” haha. She turned down every third party band I showed her because of course she wanted it to “look like a real Apple band” …man I don’t miss middle school 😂
