Dangit, I have too many blue bands already, but that does look quite pretty.

Yeah! It looks like a cross between the first generation original "Blue" and Azure.

And now I'm looking at the Cornflower Sport Loop too which looks really enticing. But should probably wait a few weeks to save a bit of cash first.

The summer colours often are my favourite from all the releases in the Apple calendar year, but they're available for the least amount of time before getting discontinued (June-September)

Does anyone still update this list? I was hoping to get a copy for my own checklist. TIA! :D

I update it. What's your email address and I'll send you a copy of it.

Guys, to your observation - what was the hardest to get band from this Summer collection?

As for me - Dragon Fruit Band. A freaking unicorn!
Not this summer but the 42mm blue orbit gamma Nike band. When it launched I wasn’t sure about the color but I ended up in my local Apple store about 2 weeks later and loved the color. The store was out of stock, I checked online and it was out of stock. I periodically checked the website and it was never available again. They go for ~$200+ when they end up on eBay. I still have a knockoff for that color because I refuse to pay more than $50 for a Nike band.

I was pretty sure I wanted the Dragon Fruit Sport Band when I saw the first pics, so I walked into an Apple Store the day it was released (after checking apple.com to see that it said, "Pick up today at Apple Store UTC", so I expected it was in stock)... when it wasn't on the shelf, I asked an employee, they said they'd check the back, and another employee brought it out a few moments later. I've done this for a number of bands, and never had a problem getting them. I think they've had to open a shipping box on a few occasions.

When I wait a month or two after release and _then_ decide I'm interested in a particular band, that's when the trouble starts (curse you, Royal Blue!).

Cornflower Sport Band, 40mm.

Where I live, in Australia, in my local area, completely sold out at all the stores in my area, online store meanwhile said "Currently Unavailable" for days on end. I had to literally check every day for like just over two weeks. Finally, few days ago, it came back in stock online and wasted no time ordering it, i posted on this thread a page back. Meanwhile today, few days later, its gone back to "currently unavailable" - clearly quite popular

I'm really undecided which one to pick next, any advice people? Stuck choosing between Cornflower Sport Loop and Canary Yellow Sport Loop and both will be discontinued very soon. I like both and our summer season here is coming up in a few months

Are you saying you don't have one? Or just found it difficult to find one?

I came in so late to this game. we've had watches since the original and we've had every watch since. But we never got into the bands until about two months ago. We realized that we had about 4 or 5 bands for years and suddenly the sickness hit...

So I've had a really hard time getting some that are older. I wish I had started when some of these colors were more readily available, but it's hard coming in now and trying to find colors that have been gone for 3 years.

I finally got a hyper grape...and I think I might have a rose red coming my way. its in the mail and I can't wait to confirm if its legit or not.

Thank you. The problem is, I have half a dozen other blues. I wish I had gotten Royal Blue when it was in the stores. If I had, I might have skipped one or more of the other recent-ish blues I have (e.g. Blue Cobalt, Denim Blue, Blue Horizon, Delft Blue). As it is, if I went to the trouble to get Royal Blue now, I'd decide it was close enough to one of the others that it wasn't really worth getting. It's almost like I'm annoyed at the idea of having missed it, rather than at the lack of having it.

That's when you know you are a collector ;) It's not about using the band, it's knowing it's in your possession if you want it. I honestly could not care less about 98% of the bands in my collection.

Are you guys not scared at the thought of Apple redesigning future watches, making the current bands incompatible? I think of this regularly since starting my collection.

Not really, it's 100% going to happen in the next 5 years. Only other scenario is if they figure out how to keep the lugs of the new 'smart' bands with additional sensors etc. as seen in patents the same size as current 40/44mm widths. I personally doubt it because I think the connector types are going to change and require drawing power from the Watch to the band. If I haven't moved back to mechanical watch collecting and off loaded my collection in time, I plan on donating it to the Apple Museum.

I don’t think they’ll do it for a long time. They’ll risk alienating people who have ton of the current bands and then discourage them from upgrading

EDIT - Also consider the Apple Watch has a unique, iconic design. Series 4 already refreshed the original design from all the way back in 2015, so I would predict the design of the Series 4 watches will be the standard for the near future

I do have one (@AndreaV91 -), but I tried to help many guys to get it - and it was either hard or really hard, or VERY hard, required communications with my contacts in another countries, travel to another cities, etc.
