Anyone switching case materials? Aluminum to SS/Titanium/Ceramic, or from SS to aluminum? This year seems like such a minor upgrade, might not even get the S5. (Then I'd have to sell my S3 & S4! :)

Alaskan Blue is growing on me, from the real pics I've seen posted. Midnight Blue & Pomegranate loops look nice too.

Also like Blue Pulse/Black, Black/Pink Blast Nike bands & Pink Blast/True Berry Nike loop. maybe Desert Sand/Volt Nike loop

S5 does really look like an S4 rebranded but with an always-on display and the compass (that I personally will soon forget about).

Not upgrading, especially considering as the S4 I have is Stainless Steel, I'd lose a lot of money on that premium I paid for that chassis (I think I heard someone say they only got offered $140 or something from Apple for their S4 SS, I hope that was a joke). S4 is still pretty amazing in its own right.

As a side observation - the Midnight Blue Sports Band appears to be a relic from the past now and is discontinued.

trade-in values on the watches have always been absolute ********, especially with the more premium materials. My ceramic S2 is worth zero dollars on a trade-in, haha.

That said... I'm considering upgrading this year. Always on display is a really nice feature and if it's judged to work well and doesn't murder the battery I think that's a worthwhile addition. I've seen a lot of derision already online over how the s5 is "nothing new", but that feature makes it behave so much more like an actual watch that it's the most compelling upgrade I've seen in years.

now the question is if I can stomach the price of ceramic again

$110.. $250 last year was bad.

Good point, "S" model (like for iPhones, refinement) years are sometimes the best. Not the most cutting edge tech, but put together the most usefully & harmoniously.

Yes, the resale offers from Apple are pretty bad. :(

And my series 3 stainless steel in top condition gives a discount of just £60 in the UK.... (only checked for amusement). The sapphire screen is the most important consideration for me (I’ve never marked these unlike my iphones), so I have to wait for a discounted SS watch every time, and will be looking for a series 4 space black or gold, that’s if I find one on clearance.

I preordered the Khaki sport look but i'll wait to see it in person. Cancelled the order

The Anchor gray looks really nice though in vids i've seen.

Trying hard to not upgrade to silver titanium from the S4 stainless but I want to see how scratch resistant the body is. The Silver SS is so nice to polish as needed.

I even have two sealed Royal Blue and another two in an opened box. As well as two Nike Blue Orbit/Gamma Blue (one sealed and one in use).
I still think these two are the most beautiful blue sport bands that were ever released.
Cost on royal blue?

I just updated the chart with the Fall 2019 bands... The chart is reaching to the limit of the maximum artboard size of Illustrator, so next update would be tricky to make. I'll have to think of a different way of presenting the chart, or separate it in several.

excited for the pink blast nike colors

It’s a great sport band I can tell you. Not too ‘pink’ fortunately.

i figured, its just that i kinda like the color and feel it would work on my RG Series 2 and my incoming Hermes watch just couldnt find a price that wasn't over $120! to get it open box for $40 is crazy
