It was hard to spend that much. I know how rare it is. I have nothing even similar, otherwise, I would never spend that much. I have been scoring some amazing deals lately so if I average them all together it is not as bad

I once missed a .99 cent starting bid with no other bids on an unused white band that was going to end that day. Got distracted, went back in a panic and someone else placed one bid on it and won the auction at .99 cents. I’ve been burned ever since that and have this lasting hope that I can get another white or a black for a buck?? 😣What's wrong with you?!?!?!?!
Wow. 99 cents would have been a steal! I have both black and white bands and I often wear them. I quite like the current generation black because it’s not black black. Has some grey to it which makes it more interesting to me.

I bit the bullet and ordered the saddle brown modern buckle today. Maybe one of these days I will upgrade to a stainless case but even if I don’t I’ve poked around the internet for photos and I think I can live with the difference in lug and case materials. I’m more tolerant of “imperfections” if they are symmetrical 🙂
I’m not sure I got the right size though. I went for a small because my wrist is around 145 mm (the small band fits wrists up to 150 mm) but now I’m thinking I should have gone for the medium (starts at 145 mm) just in case. I called to change but it’s already processed for shipping so can’t change. Hopefully it works. The person I spoke with said stores in the US would be reopening soon, but he wasn’t sure about Canada.

Right though! I love white - it’s fresh. There’s not a lack of them, so it’ll be easy to pick one up. Just a matter of doing so.

My OG white got stained on the edges from denim jeans, and now it’s a bit shiny after cleaning it, so I need to give it the satin finish back. It’s pure, bright white and I don’t want to have to look for another one.
My S4 came with a Seashell Loop so I could try one. I wore it maybe twice. I didn’t find it at all comfortable - it was far too hard to get the tension right; it was easy to make it feel like an elastic band stretched around my wrist, or to have it too lose, but almost impossible to get it just snug.
I have both blacks now after ordering Gen 2 with my SBSS. It has never even been on a Watch and I’ve never worn my (pure) black OG one very much. I just never liked the black look when I got it - probably why I started buying the colours immediately after I got my S0.
Black leather is a different story, though I’m not a LL fan. The OG black LL does look good with SBSS though, and I like my Hermes Noir Rallye on my SS.

I limit myself to paying retail or less on bands. I just recently was able to get the ultraviolet band for retail.
Personally I don't worry too much about prices (within reason). If I have $100 that I can spend on bands I'm as happy to spend it all on a rare one that I really want as I am to buy 2 or 3 that I'm less keen to have. In fact I'd probably rather have one I really want from the most coveted bands than a few less special. The most I paid for any band was for Cargo Khaki / Black (I genuinely forget how much, but over US$100 I think, and shipping from US or Europe to NZ always adds a bunch of cost), but I really wanted it and I absolutely love how it looks with my SBSS Watch. I get more pleasure out of that band than the Turquoise, Lavender and Lavender Grey combined that I picked up because they were cheap for less than Cargo Khaki's price.
I sort of gauge rarity (besides what is discussed on here of course) by Chargerstore prices, and especially if Chargerstore is out of stock on something. I figure I can always get what I want there if I decide I really want it so long as it's in stock, and often look elsewhere for a better deal, or a band with a box (ideally sealed) for similar money, but if they sell out then it might be something that will become very hard to source so I step up my efforts to get it.
Also, while I'd hesitate to call it an investment, the several thousand dollars I have in my band collection is probably the most depreciation-proof money I have spent on all the Apple product I've ever owned. Unless Apple screws us all over by changing the band lug style I think bands will in general only go up in value over time. I don't believe Apple will do that to us unless they really have to to make a step-change improvement (like when they screwed over the Apple II people by launching the Macintosh that wasn't backwards compatible, but that was because they needed to move forward with technology and couldn't support the old system as well). Biggest risk is in it needs to change for some sort of smart band to integrate, but I'm hopeful that needn't change the mechanical connection if it happens.

Cover your mouth when you cough, and wash your hands afterwards. While you are at it, make sure you wear your mask in a public setting.
I had to wait over a year to get my ultraviolet band for retail. I was fortunate enough to get one locally through offerup.

the only things i have as extras is a 38mm Turquoise sport band(sealed) and a 38mm 2nd gen blue(open box, unworn), a 42 smokey mauve sport loop and a 42mm teal tint sport loop(both of these sealed).
(oh, I also have an open box 42mm Mint sport loop that i’ve just never put into rotation, i cant decide if i like it or not...)

well, i would have waited more, but i’ve been waiting for a while and seems i’ve barely missed several opportunities... and when that happens over and over, you start to get antsy... and then all this recent talk from everyone about the UV, me always missing it, and recently the one on Ebay getting bought... chargerstore didn’t have it last week except in 38mm....so just now when he posted it, i mean.... you can see how I HAVE to get it...

watch, since I got the UV from chargerstore, I bet my luck is that tonight, tomorrow, all next week, UV bands will be popping up all over mercari or eBay, brand new sealed in 42mm for 20 bucks. just all over the place, super attainable and available for all!

On another note, does anyone else think the summer bands will mimic these rumoured Powerbeats colours (cloud pink, glacier blue, spring yellow, and lava red)? Apple seems to like to mimic colours across product lines.

I have a both a Celestial Teal and a Light Violet/White nike sport band. Both of which I only possess the S/M piece for. I haven’t worn them at all yet since I wear the M/L piece for sport bands and can’t make the S/M pieces work (large wrist struggles!)
I know its a stretch, but if anyone would be willing to sell or part with their M/L pieces for these (someone who doesn’t wear them possibly) please PM me!!

I just took a new photo of all my bands. Unfortunately, I will have to wait for about a month for my new ultra violet.
Looks awesome! Nike collection especially is killer! Pink Sand and Vintage Rose are switched right? Or is Pink Sand actually Light Pink? Looks way too vibrant to be sand.
Awesome collection...just not sure how and why you have leather loops and the leather modern buckles?? Do you have a 38/40 mm or 42/44 mm model? I know they’ll fit each other but my ocd can’t take the missing or exceeding metal/plastic

To be honest, I have no idea...lol. I was not even sure what color they were but you awesome people here helped me identify them. So there is a very good chance that they are reversed. Oh well, I am not redoing the photo again until I get my UV.
