I tried a while back in the US and they told me the exact same thing. Its more of the rep you are talking to.
I would try again but am scared I will be blacklisted from express replacements for not returning the defective one. I don't really know if that's a thing though.

I just bought a dark olive 38 mm s/m only from him.. yes finally! And for a very nice price. It’s okay for me that I don’t have the m/l strap.

A lucky find tonight (walk-in at Store)!!!
I did. Bought one band from him before. Genuine Apple, new band and looked perfect!
I bought some open box or boxless bands from a dutch premium reseller. There are bands from previous collections, they used them as a demo band in stores. But because they are discontinued the have to get rid of them. Some of the open box ones come in a blank apple band box, just the size on front and on the back a sticker with demo / not for resell. But lucky for me they did sell them and I managed to get some discontinued bands. Maybe some shops save the boxes, other sells them without boxes. Maybe to much work to get al bands sort? But I don't know if the bands on eBay come from apple resellers and used to be demo bands.

I bought the 38mm cobalt, and left the spicy orange as I think/hope I already have secured one. Noticed the flash band has been bought along with the dark teal... tempting though they were!
It would be great if this seller gets more in, but the range of colours suggests they may have been a collection. Wishing for an ultra violet 38! Or a rose red 38!
I still have cobalt blue but i havent paid it yet... was thinking if i still like it....
