Indeed and looks amazing on the stainless steel watch :) My 38mm is stainless steel, and my 42mm is ceramic which looks better with sport straps and woven nylon bands I think.
While these are beautiful no doubt, my only beef is that these bands have stainless steel connectors. For me, looks terrible against gold (or my prior rose gold), and even alongside the silver aluminum Sport watch, the polished connectors just seem to look best against the SS Apple Watch. <Sigh> Just my observation and lack of interest in them despite some really great colors Apple has created in leather.

This is very true. If you have any interest in the Apple Classic Buckle leather bands, the Stainless Steel AW is the way to go. It‘s the most versatile model anyway because it goes with any colour.

I absolutely agree and I’m puzzled by Apples lack of attention when it comes to the other watch models. They don’t go great together at all, but I guess it would be too many versions if each leather strap had their own lugs.
Like you, I prefer the sport and woven bands for my ceramic watch - they on the other hand looks amazing with the white ceramic watch. Just as I think the white iPhones and iPads has better options for official accessories from Apple. The black front goes best with black, grey and maybe red. But that’s just my opinion and taste.

Doesn’t gold also somehow limit some shades or colours in your very large collection or are they used with the silver aluminium model?

A bit of a pain, but, you can change the adapters and buckle. In case you really like a band.

Nope, @larzy — I long sold the SS model ages ago. I only have a gold S3 LTE model. I upgrade my Apple Watch yearly...my treat to myself. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That said, I have found MOST colors are pretty great with [new] gold. Just a stand-out color option in my humble opinion. :)

Lol...waaay too much of a pain, friend. Plus, you’d have to get third party lugs/connectors and matching Apple’s gold is tricky.

It’s so confusing that I might alter my collecting focus lol and go after something different. I wish there was a way I could ask Apple themselves.
