I bought one TB thinking I was being a tad excessive but I have loads of music and already used nearly half and with the camera if I want to keep it a few years it might be a good choice. I’ve also lowered my data allowance with my carrier as the phone can hold more

My iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB ships 21 Oct - 28 Oct (but previously 26 Oct - 2 Nov)

I find the resale value of the higher capacity is very marginal so never really tempted to go for 512 / 1TB until a time I ever get close to filling up 256 which I'm nowhere near doing at the moment, I guess if I start taking a lot of video maybe but all I would have to do then is spring clean now and again by archiving them off my phone to my 36TB NAS

don't know what network you are on but it's never taken days to sync iCloud,

While traveling I can take > 100 gigabytes of pictures and movies. Many hotels have extremely slow internet which sometimes may not upload at all. If they do upload it can take days. A recent small shoot of a few gigabytes took hours to upload on a gigabit local network.

My backup workaround while traveling is to transfer them to an iPad.

See, if I buy a 1tb, I’ll find a way to fill it. And nothing pisses me off more than trying to clean/organize/de-clutter a phone. So I get the lowest storage options. It forces me to be fastidious about moving files and photos into Google Drive. It forces me to get rid of apps I don’t use regularly. It keeps my Home Screen and app drawer neat and uncrowded. It makes it so when I restore from iCloud back up it only takes 10 minutes.
