While Apple was one of the first computer companies to offer free parental controls, even back in the iTools days.

There's no way hell Steve Jobs would have been supportive of state governments forcing Apple to enable parental controls for the web automatically.

That's the parent's responsibility. Most teenagers are much more tech savvy than their parents anyway. They'll just evade it.

So it's the parents responsibility to do something they aren't capable of do???

You are not being as persuasive as you think you are on why this shouldn't be a law.

Hope Apple fixes the iPhone 16 Pro Max “lowest volume” bug as it’s incredibly loud at the manually adjusted lowest possible volume on the slider when compared to my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Sloppy.

Only generated a couple of rather basic images this morning, and I’m apparently already overlimit. What exactly is Apple Intelligence doing right now?

"In the iOS 18.2 beta 2 release notes, Apple says that it has improved battery life and device temperature."

Where is this?

It seems to be true. I’d been down to 40-50% by mid day on beta 1. (16PM) Beta 2 and I am at 74%. See if it continues, but it seems to be true.

No dice with Google Fi. One would think that Google of all companies would have this figured out on their own-branded carrier but here we are.

Now that it's happened it actually doesn't surprise me at all. Also doesn't surprise me that they blame Apple, and that Apple won't comment.

I really wish they would update iPhone Mirroring with a way to access notifications while mirroring. Mirroring iPhone notifications to the Mac is just not cutting it. They are as unreliable and simultaneously extremely annoying as all other Mac notifications.

If anyone, especially outside the US, is confused about the Utah law: without getting the post deleted for off-topic political content, simply look up the history of the state of Utah. That will explain everything.

Maybe not related to 18.2 b2, but I got a pop-up asking to agree to the new iCloud terms and conditions to keep using iCloud on the device. Fine, click agreed.

A few minutes later my main iCloud mail account was missing from my "Mailboxes" list in mail. It was still listed under Settings > Apps > Mail > Accounts, but I couldn't click on it.

Rebooted, hard rebooted, nothing.

Two hours later it was back in the Mail mailboxes list 🤷🏻

I am getting bit or miss charging to the 95% limit I have set. This has been reported. And battery life is still not great. I have been up for an hour and with minimal use the phone has dropped 12% battery. This is and iPhone 16 Pro Max. 15 Pro Max on 18.1 has amazing battery life.

I couldn’t help it this weekend and downloaded it

Playground take ages on your devices too?

FBI approval or what? 🤣🤙🏻

My settings icons are the same (light) as always. Not at all like this screen shot.

I even tried toggling over to light mode, and back to dark. No change.

Anyone else see the older, light icons, after updating to the iOS 18.2 beta 2?

Edit: I also have light icons on my Mac after updating to the macOS 15.2 beta 2.

Long press your iPhone’s Home Screen. Tap Edit > Customize > select Dark. Your Settings icons should now be dark. 🤘

Just got a notification about an AirTag moving with me.

It’s my AirTag.
Ah uh. While you were headed out to get groceries, I removed a part of your shoes' soles, inserted my AirTag and closed it off with an adhesive of exactly the same color of your soles. Sorry, I will stop stalking you.
