I wish I could turn off modes in the camera app. There are so many modes that I never use and they clutter up the experience. All I want is photo, video, panorama and slowmo.
Agreed I really don’t want Siri bang between photo and Portrait.

Hitting camera feed in Home app does not make it crash anymore on first load. My Weather app now actually loads the weather, previously only the widget worked. Overall it seems a bit more responsive.

Love the ability to long press on a HomeKit Camera notification and for it to play the clip. Does it quickly, too.

Also - the Wallet App insights already work, although the article says it's not fully implemented yet. Does a good job on both my current account and credit card (I'm in the UK - and this may be the first time in history that we've got something working before USA!).

Anyone else had an iPhone on Beta 1 that was still indexing, for days, and suddenly the indexing badge is gone on Beta 2?
Yeah, I had been checking in on the status using console on my Mac.

My iPhone was stalled at 84% indexing for the past week, but that's gone now with the 2nd beta update.

I had a popup in the Home app say something about smart plugs now showing insights into usage, but I was half asleep as it updated overnight and I didn't think to screenshot it. I can't see anything about this on the two smart plugs I have, but maybe not all devices are compatible or it needs more data to show anything.

Am I the only one reading this article, which the title sounded like a positive news piece with exciting upcoming features.

But, then read it and it is just overall super disappointing. Many things still not working or not available, others removed. Nothing really worthwhile new.
And warning about using new feature (that Apple even has off by default) about sending data to third-parties if I turn it on for FEATURES!
😕

And, if this is going to be more of an iOS "Snow Leopard" release, from the current beta, it certainly isn't feeling like it.

Does anyone on the beta know if they fixed this really annoying 'bug' in AppleNews?:

When you block a channel, instead of hiding it, your screen real-estate is taken up with a big, (stupid), grey box which states "You blocked this channel". Thanks

Btw, “write with Siri” option doesn’t come up if you’re using a multilingual keyboard. I switched to regular English keyboard and the option popped up.

No watchOS 27 DB2? 🤔
They held it back until today and the AWU3 is not compatible.

Must be some serious issue with it in that device. Glad they held it instead of bricking a bunch of AWU3’s.

Still sucks I will be in limbo. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Who else is getting ridiculous "clarifications" from Siri in both betas? "Did you say Bob, Boab, Boob, Barb, or Bard?"
Yes - really silly ones. I asked something about COBC, and one of the options it gave me was COC (written) - but whereas the others were read out as letters, Siri read that one out as a word…

In my example above, it appears to pull names from my Contacts but overweights them such that it gets confused and thinks they're all possibilities.

I was wondering why I didn't see an update yesterday when I went to check for updates on my series 11

Just checked again and it's just spinning now

Very wise of them to pull it if it's just doing nothing but bricking certain watches

I can be patient and wait if it means that I'll get something that won't turn my watch into a giant on-wrist paperweight

Sound like it just... finished indexing at the same time you updated?

My phone took a while to index (I installed the beta when it was released) it only took up until a few days ago to disappear.
The amount of data that’s on my phone, there’s no way it finished indexing at the exact same time I updated the data to. Most likely, they just turned off the message that shows up in settings. They also turned off tracking the indexing in macOS 27. Most likely, people were freaking out about how long it was taking. They were probably confused, thinking that the indexing had to finish for them to get off the waitlist, which is not true, and were getting report after report after report, so they just turned it off because it has nothing to do with whether you get off the waitlist or not.

Has anyone been able to use the Siri voice customization? Still not available for me after beta 2
Did you not read the patch notes? The ones that you’re commenting under? Says right up there that it wasn’t available in beta one. It’s still not available in beta two, but now it says coming soon. It also just says that in your settings as well when you open it. Typically, if something like that would be a glitch, they wouldn’t put a giant coming soon thing on it to let you know that it’s coming soon. Like “whoops, my phone is glitching. It says this feature is coming soon, so weird that a phone can glitch, pick out all the letters to spell ‘coming soon’, put a box around it, and put it on a feature that’s not functioning because of the glitch.“
