Good information all around MRU but i must correct you on this. Jellybean/Google does allows you to move a portion of the app to sdcard but it's also dependent on whether the developer has coded the app to perform this function. For example beach buggy blitz is 44mb but i can move a portion over to sdcard and be left with 2.2mb on phone storage.
Where is the option to move it over? I can't find it and it is not using anything on my SD card.

Just an opinion..
The Nexus 4 is THAT bad?
'Cause I've really fallen in love with stock Android!

Not at all. I have a Nexus 4 but have to say I use a Xperia Z as my daily phone at the moment.

It's the little things that the vendors add, such as much better dialers and email apps. For me the Sony has just enough enhancements over stock Android to make it much better but not overblown like Sense or Touchwiz.

These are just my opinions or course as I've had Samsung devices and owned several HTC's and still have a One X.

Don't confuse Sense 5 with Sense 4.1 on the X. Sense 5 is vastly stripped back, erroneous animations gone, 3D elements gone.... Sense 5 is very different from anything HTC has done before.

Not confused, I've seen Sense 5 and even flashed a ROM on my One X that has many Sense 5 elements. Can't say I'm a fan but that is what is great about having a choice.

Also, after having used a 5" phone, I don't think I would like to go smaller.

Each OEM has a different path to get to 'manage apps' but on the One X it's settings/apps then under each individual app if the developer has coded for the api, the 'move' button will be highlighted.

You'll have the option to move to phone storage (sd card) or move to internal storage (phone). I know on stock Android it says move to sd card and not phone storage but it's still all the same.

Really? Then what am I hearing about the droolfest concerning the coming 4S and One with stock 4.2?

Yep, that would come from the people that prefer stock Android...

The biggest issue with the vendors is slow updates.

Examples of the dialler are on this page http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z-review-887p6.php

Stock Android doesn't have a T9 dialer like most of the vendors have implemented. Not saying stock android is bad at all, just saying I prefer these small enhancements.

Of course with Android you can always change you dialler and contacts.

I have no reason to prove anything to someone who's only been here since September and starts calling out people who disagree with something in his little fantasy world.

I honestly don't give a crap what some scrub thinks on the internet. Good day. :apple:

Then I guess I "outrank" you as I've been here for almost 9 years.

Those two are the best you can pick. Nexus 4 is trash

The Nexus line is hardly trash. Get a clue will you? Clues are a cheap nowadays. Really get one.

You got a bad attitude dude!

It's a very good phone.

The battery life on 3g and some other factors like camera focus could be improved by a bit, and it would end up being a great phone, one that kills all flagships. The potential is there.

As the title says, I'm an iPhone 4S owner who soon will become an "ex - iPhone owner". I just want to change OS 'cause I need some fresh air.
Anyway, I don't know which Android phone should I choose.
Obviously, the choice is between the HTC One and the Galaxy S4. I've already "deleted" the Nexus 4's choice.
I'll use the phone.. well, to do "normal" things, such as web surfing, photos (I like, sometimes, to use my phone as a camera, especially when I'm abroad), social networking and stuff related to university.
So.. Thank you! :D

I can't tell you which out of the GS4 and HTC One to pick, because that's your choice but I can tell you about my experiences.

I was a longtime iPhone/iPad user until last summer, not long after Jelly Bean came out. I decided to pick up a Nexus 7 to try out because of all the positive reviews I had read.

I really really enjoyed the Nexus 7, Android was very fresh and appealing. I however, didn't love it enough to give up my iPad. I believe this is mostly in part because Android apps need updating for tablets. Google is however, pushing third-parties to catch up so I can see this being a temporary problem.

Anyway, it really made be curious about the then-new hot and fresh phone, the Galaxy S3. I was currently using an iPhone 4S. I watched some reviews on the GS3 and I really started to open up to it. I after a week or so of lusting over it, decided to bite the bullet and go buy one.

I instantly loved the device, but I was new so I had a lot to learn. At first, even though I could tell Android was awesome, I had slight feelings of buyers remorse.. but I believe this was more because I didn't fully understand Android like I did iOS. These feelings soon went away.

I then upgraded to the Galaxy Note 2 which I used from December 2012 until the beginning of this month. I loved it.

This moves me to my point. Since I used a Galaxy S3, then Galaxy Note 2 you could assume I am a fan of Samsung's devices, and you'd be right. I bought the Galaxy S4 at release and I really enjoyed it. However, over the first 2 weeks I had it I couldn't ignore all the buzz the HTC One was getting. Seeing many very credible reviewers say it was the best Android device they had ever used.

I actually exchanged my Galaxy S4 on the last day that I could for an HTC One.

That was almost a month ago and I've been using the HTC One ever since. It felt weird because I was so adapted to stock Android and TouchWiz, never owning a Sense device. I've gotten a lot more familiar with it and do not regret going with the HTC One.

However, if HTC does allow early adopters of the One to switch to stock Android like they're working on.. I'll still definitely do that.

Tl;dr version: I've been a huge Samsung fan however the HTC One won me over.

Just a question: how is GS4's battery life compared to the One's?

Just a question: how is GS4's battery life compared to the One's?

I have owned both. In my experience my average day the HTC one would end the day with around 50% remaining. The S4 doing the same workload ends the day around 35% remaining.

Others have found the S4 favored them over the One, so I would hazard a strong assumption that 'give & take' they are pretty much even stevens.

The extra .2 ghz cpu and samsung software features are probably a little bit more power hungry therefore the slightly increased battery capacity over the One becomes moot.

However the S4 can take a spare battery, so if you are a 'very' heavy user (more the 4-6 screen on hours per day) then perhaps the S4 would be better simply because of the ability to carry around an extra battery.

However if you are a mere mortal like the rest of us - both the One & S4 are going to give you near identical battery results.

anandtech battery test results bare this out also...... much of a muchness.
