iPhone Exactly how long does "Erase Contacts & Settings" take?

I did the same silly thing. Luckily, I was able to just reboot into it just fine with no loss of data.

I have unlocked my iPhone 4 with the carrier, and was told I need to erase all content and setttings and do a restore in iTunes in order to apply the unlock. But my phone is jailbroken. Is there a way I can apply the unlock without loosing the jailbreak?

Use Sam from cydia to deactivate the phone then connect to itunes to re-activate and the unlock will attach.

Depending on how you delete it.
If you delete these contacts on iPhone via some iPhone eraser,i promise they will never be found again,iPhone data eraser are powerful.
