A few posts above you:

Block party is installed and activated already on my iPhone, as I stated. Currently it seems to only block ads and not iPhone alert pop ups.

Well after seeing how many people in this thread actually are going to use this without giving a **** about the website owners I think I'm gonna have to go write an email to Tim asking for content blockers to be removed. IMO ad blockers should be illegal. It IS stealing access to a site. It's absolute ******** people can block ads and not get charged for it.
Someone's salty as ****!

I'm happy for this. Ads/popups are ruining my experience contributing to my further hatred of iOS 8. It's not iOS 8 problem per se, but it's something that is terribly needed. Half of my screen is taken up by ads anytime I browse. I'm constantly clicking on x's (which are sometimes too small or hidden).

I downloaded Purify ($3.99), 1Blocker (free and the $2.99 pro version) and Blockr ($.99). Of the three, I much prefer Purify. Pages loaded the fastest with Purify over the others. Purify also has a whitelist feature. The second best is 1Blocker, but, on average, pages load somewhat slower than Purify. Also, some pages were broken and you cannot whitelist them under 1Blocker. Coming in third is Blockr, which loads the pages the slowest of the three and let a couple of ads slip by.

All do the job and I'd take any one of them over having no content blocker. The ads were becoming so ridiculous that it took away some enjoyment from using Safari on my iPhone6 and iPad Air. It comes down to a matter of preference and Purify is my favorite. Now web browsing is fast and there are no more annoying ads! Just make sure to whitelist such sites as YouTube if, for example, you want to watch YouTube videos on Safari. It's simple and straightforward to do.

-_- It's absolute ******** people can block ads and not get charged for it even when half the mobile sites on the web have super intrusive ads with tap targets so small that they basically guarantee you'll be whisked away to an ad or the App Store instead of dismissing it. -_-

Can't blame them. With so many people using desktop ad blockers you've got to make money somewhere.

If they write stuff people find compelling on a regular basis, the readers will subscribe like they do at Gruber's site (of course, he routinely insults 30 to 40% of the US population, so I'm sure he has a lot of freeloaders).
