Why is My Card Named 7XXX instead 7950 or better R9 280X ?

Because the card name is written in the BIOS you flashed.
You can change to whatever name you like, using a Hex Editor and edit the modded BIOS file, then flash it back again to the card.

If you ruined the script, of course that won't work. You better RUN the script... (just kidding, of course).

Anyway, you better make a screen capture of how you run that script, and post it to here. Many people ignore the error message on the window, and flash that unsuccessful patched ROM onto their card. Then of course nothing change (TBH, it's lucky that they didn't brick their card).

Something went wrong, i guess the EFI-insertion failed. In this case all cards are recognized as 7XXX with generic framebuffer.

I guess the problem w/ the netkas-script affects rom-files with a second image for GOP-support.

Better way: Editing manual or overwrite the second image-block w/ empty code (FF) in a hexeditor before running the netkas-script.

Im not Expert for scripting but is it possible that you made some king of Universal

MSI R9 280X .rom file for all cards?

Last time I used .rom file from another user I ended with enormous amount of Graphic card memory?

This is exactly why not make an universal ROM for all 7000 series card, but the users should create its own Mac EFI ROM by using the original ROM.
