...I don't really care if people borrow our internet, since no matter what I'm getting the full force of it because of the wired aspect. I don't even bother checking to see if anyone is partaking in it.

Don't you have a cap or something, that limits the amount of data you download?

Wrong. Both operate at 54 Mbps following 802.11g standards.

According to Apple, both have a 150 foot range with 54 Mbps up to 50 feet.

That's funny, I've seen models that say 802.11b on them:confused: Mabye they were older models?

The service provided is 10 megabits per second, downloading. But in terms of monthly bandwidth usage, there are no limits.

The airport extreme has a WAY better wireless range, and it has a built-in modem, with two ethernet ports, (one for dsl, and one for a network printer)
Your other errors have already been pointed out, so I'll focus on this one. The WAN ethernet port is for connecting to the internet (DSL modem, cable modem, etc). The LAN ethernet port is for connecting any wired device (ethernet switch, computer, printer, etc). It's not just for printers.

as mentioned before the Apple base station will definitely be the easiest to setup since as usual Apple products tend to work together quite seamlessly. so it depends if you want to save money or if you want ease of use.
