So basically, this saves you the trouble of connecting your camera to your computer via USB cable? Yes, it is "cool" technology, but I don't see why is it such a time-saver. Why is the USB cable so much of a hassle, especially since on a Mac, plugging the camera in and turning it on automatically launches iPhoto and uploads the pictures from the camera? I just want to understand the appeal.

Saves you the trouble of carrying around a USB cable or card reader, plugging it in etc. Just turn on your camera, and like magic, all your pictures load into your PC/Mac. With the MBA, most will agree, relieving the one USB port from use, is always a benny. Plus this wireless feature is transferable to a new camera, or a borrowed one. Just pop it in the new camera and go, no setup, no fuss. Now, I see the tone of your reply, you feel this is an unnecessary accessory. Of course most of what we have and use today is unnecessary. But once you experience using it once or twice, it is amazing how much this "untethering" makes you want to use your camera more, because it is just so darned fast and easy.
