Straight from Joe Hewitt's Twitter:

"Facebook for iPhone 3.02 update was just approved, with lots of bug fixes and VoiceOver accessibility."

"As always, it make take a few hours for the update to be visible to all on the App Store."

"I'm gonna be hearing about this black bar thing a lot :( Luckily it will fix itself, or you can re-install to fix it."-Joe Hewitt

thats funny stuff, the 3.1 update almost killed my wifes phone and now this funky update. I'll try a reinstall.

a reinstall worked, all good again, but my wife wont let me update hers again until she knows its safe. She had 8 hours without her phone until i could hard restore it, yeah i had to listen to all that. :)

Reminders? Go into Events and select birthdays. They are all in there.

Thanks...... I wasn't aware of that. That's helpful.

It would be nice if there was an option to set birthday notifications on, so that it would show up as a notification at the bottom of the screen when you open the app.

Not a problem :) Hopefully with 3.1 we will be able to get Push alerts a day or two before.

Push... Push... PUSH! C'mon! Almost there!

Uh, what'd you want Facebook to push? Wall posts? Messages? Don't you get notifications via email for that? Assuming you've push for emails..

Facebook chat is too buggy, I rarely ever use it.

Using email for notifications is useless if you have a lot of friends. Push notifications will obviously work with messages. Also, it will probably be configurable for other types of "facebook notifications" as well. It would be nice if chat could keep you online and set as away went you weren't in the app and allow push notification of chat messages.

I rely on the facebook notifications on the web site and the iphone app for my notifications. I have never used the email feature as it is clumsy and not very integrated with how you use Facebook.
