It would be nice if chat could keep you online and set as away went you weren't in the app and allow push notification of chat messages.

I rely on the facebook notifications on the web site and the iphone app for my notifications. I have never used the email feature as it is clumsy and not very integrated with how you use Facebook.

I find the the email feature to be more than suffice. But yeah, I'm no hardcore Facebook-er.
 
These privacy bugs people are talking about - what are the implications for somebody who has a lot of people on 'limited profile' now i am quite worried lol.

The only thing i can see left to sort is the notification to show a message in chat.

why would you wait an hour when it can be fix in less then 60 seconds? reinstall log back into Fb. Done
 
Maybe I am missing something here but why are these updates so quickly available yet we waited over two weeks for 3.0 to come out. I know these are smaller updates but still why is it Apple seems so quick to release these now?

+1 i do think this will have something to do with the privacy/ security flaws in the App. I wish they would change the chat layout...it is pants.
 
I still have the problem when I leave the app sign in when I get back to the app the chat always goes online no matter what...I want the chat to stay offline but it always goes back on by it self

Because most people already go an hour at some point without opening the app, so you really don't have to do anything and it will fix itself.

An hour without Facebook? That is bad, very very bad.
 
if you uninstall and reinstall you lose your settings such as favorites etc. waiting an hour would just fix without loss
 
This version does not respect my preferences on which posts I see and which I don't. It shows them all.
 
Does anyone know if they have plans to add groups in the next update? This is the last thing keeping me from switching to the app 100%

This issue must have been on the server side because my preferences about hiding posts from certain contacts are now being respected.
 
This is damn buggy. When I get messages on Facebook the whole message won't show if the sender has written part on a new line (by clicking enter) and more often than not new messages don't even show up in the conversation until I send a reply!
