Well mine works. You may be on a different server, which hasn't been fixed yet, whatever they did on Facebook yesterday? It's kind of too bad they don't send a message when they do things like this.

I can't compare it to yesterday - i wasn't on it all day actually. Gee, imagine that? LOL!!

But ya, some sort of announcement of issues would be nice... and i think it was just doing it before 6am, which is why i went back to sleep.

Wasn't asking you to compare it. Just saying that they did something yesterday that caused it, obviously. :)

Oh i know, i'm just saying - for me, i have no clue if it is as bad as yesterday or not, since i was wandering the state without wifi.

I know that this morning i could read - and I tried to post to someone's wall and it quit. But reading seemed to be fine. This was the 2nd time i woke up - the earlier stuff was the app just not even really launching.

Since i'm at the computer, i haven't tried again.

I'm just happy to know it wasn't just me seeing it happen :D

This happened to me last night. I basically couldn't do anything since each time I accessed the app, it crashed. I went into the app this morning and it's been working fine thusfar.

Now i'm wondering about how the app posts with the new settings. With them you pick who can see your wall post - and the app won't have that. Will it default to EVERYONE being able to see them? I had mine set up prior to only friends, and that carried over and you can't see my old posts. But other people are having issues....

And for the record, here is what is now public:

With these changes, a limited set of basic information that helps your friends find you will be made publicly available. This information is name, profile picture, gender, current city, networks, friend list, and Pages. The overwhelming majority of people who use Facebook already make most or all of this information available to everyone. We've found that most people who do limit access just want to avoid being found in searches or prevent contact from strangers. For this reason, we'll be preserving the settings that allow you to exclude yourself from search results on Facebook and public search engines. You'll also be able to limit who can send you messages and friend requests to only friends and friends of friends.

They definitely need to sync the iPhone app to include the privacy options when posting. Otherwise, it isn't very clear how they will be shown.

It *appears* to be picking up the default setting - but no lock shows on those posts. I went into my alter-ego's FB account that isn't my friend and the post i made didn't show up.

Not happy with all of this at the moment...

I experienced the same thing on Tuesday night too. Never had any problems with the app before then. But whenever I went to launch it the screen appeared to be loading data before it crashed. I restarted a few times and it continued to crash. I eventually gave up. However, so far today, it seems to be working fine.
