Crashing here too. I opened FB in Safari and added it to my home screen as a temp measure.

It was crashing for me too. I just deleted the app and re-downloaded it and that seemed to have fixed the problem.

mine has been crashing as well but seems to be fixed now just got on without a crash now. i think the crashing was something server side.

It was working perfectly fine for a while and then it crashed nonstop. I deleted it and reinstalled it but the crashing still happened. I restarted my iphone and the crashing problem went away

Yup, it was crashing non-stop. So I reinstalled it and noticed that it would update to the latest version (6.7) even after just installing it. So I turned off Automatic Updates and now it's on the version before 6.7

I'll be sticking with this for now. Now I'm not having any crashes

Mines available to update, won't in the App Store. Says unable to download. Probably why.

Thanks. I did a google search, but didn't think to look about twitter.

Advice to all. Twitter is probably a great place to search first for problems.

My FB is fine but 6.7.1 update won't install, so I'll leave it for a day or two.

i got the crashing right after i downloaded the update yesterday afternoon. figuring it was a bug, i deleted and reinstalled the app immediately and it worked perfectly fine right after that.

And now the latest update to the app cannot be downloaded and neither can I download from the cloud once I deleted it. The number of people tweeting to Facebook is exploding, but nothing from them so far.

OT: Anyone still think automatic app updates are a good idea?

I never thought it was a good idea, but given that I have the choice to have it on or off, I'm not fussed. Apple should give us more options with various settings rather than force a single solution for all.

Same here. Lots of reviews on iTunes that latest version can't be downloaded at all. I'm glad I don't do OTA updates and no automatic updates. I only update via iTunes.

Really Facebook, is it that hard to make an app work???

I'm also unable to download 6.7.1, both on my iPhone 5S and via iTunes (error 8102). Hmm, sounds more like an App Store issue than a Facebook one.

What version does everyone have? I tried to update the new version. But now it will not download. And it just sits there trying to update saying waiting. Now i cannot even use the app itself. When i try downloading it from my computer on itunes it just errors out and i cannot do it from there either.

Not able to download 6.7.1

Same here. I'm not able to download/update to 6.7.1. It just fails and the icon remains there. Cannot delete it. Though I deleted it through iTunes. Neither can I download from iTunes (mac).

I was able to update to 6.7.1. I have automatic updates set up, but I had to click the Update button in the App Store. So far so good.

After rolling back to Version 6.6 I was able to update to version 6.7.1:

1.) Delete Facebook app in iTunes Library

2.) Delete Facebook app in the Folder "Mobile Applications"

3.) Find an older version than 6.7 (e.g. 6.6 via Time Machine Backup)

4.) Insert this version into the Folder "Mobile Applications" and add it into the iTunes Library

5.) Sync your iPhone/iPad/iPod

6.) Update via App Store and iTunes Store should work.

Seems to be an issue with a corrupt version of the *.ipa-File...
