FaceTime 'competitor' Tango for iPhone (and review) -3G/Wireless & Android too

Impatient? I downloaded it at 11AM this morning. I re downloaded it at 1PM. People are right in front of me signing on and none of us see each other. Not sure how much more patient I can be.

Then it's your phone. All 3 people that have downloaded the app are showing in my contacts. That sucks for you... hopefully you can get it to work.

I've had no issue seeing contacts who have downloaded the app on my contact list.

No, it isn't. That's just your experience with the app. I've been using it since I downloaded it and it works absolutely perfect.

Called 2 people with Evos and it worked good. Quality isn't as good as facetime but it's better then nothing.

sent and invite to my friend he accepted, he shows in my Tango contact list. When I call him we cannot connect? Do I need to adjust a phone setting?

Facetime with same friend works perfectly

Does the call connect but you cannot see them? If not then you have to hit the camera looking thing with the T in it.

Works great for me. One major downside of FaceTime is can't use it on 3G. This makes the iPhone 4 that much better for me.

This is totally awesome. It works with 3gs phones also. They just have to turn the phone around in order to do which means they can't see you. For those who are having problems with the contacts go back into profile and set it up again. And for those who are having problems connecting totally close out the app and open it up again works fine after that. I didn't have anybody to facetime with now I do with 3gs and android phones.

for those with address book problems, i had also had an issue. i force closed the app and then shut the phone down. powered it back up, restarted the app, and all my new contacts popped up.
