Ok I stopped playing WoW after awhile just because I didn't have enough time to devote to it... lol stopped at 63 how weird.. anyway I need to find a free game that is almost or just as good as WoW thats not point and click movement... If it costs money to buy and is free to play online thats fine too

I too got sick of WoW. I've been playing since startup on and off and have 2 lvl 70's, and a couple 60+ and I'm just tired of it.
Sorry, WoW isn't the God of MMORPG's. Even when I played I didn't feel that. They got a good game, it was awsome don't get me wrong and I'm loyal to Blizzard (heck I still have Warcraft 1, 2, 3, StarCraft, Diablo 1, 2 bla bla bla etc) and I remember playing Warcraft 1 in Dos using Kali to get online to play multiplayer. But it's time to move on.
I did see in their job postings looking for people for "the next gen MMO" hmmmm sounds like good things coming.
I know it plays good on the Mac. There's gotta be something out there. I don't want Commodore64 graphics games, I've seen some MMORPG's that are just rancid reminders of when Ultima Online first came out and sorry, that's just not cutting it.
I tried Vendetta, not bad but can't see myself paying more than a month.
BF2142 dropped the ball (I know it's not an MMORPG but it satisfied me)
Everquest came to mind but... nahhhh, SOE is not getting any money out of me soon since they went CU/NGE on SWG.

Pirates of the Caribbean isn't to bad but the graphics and movement are a bit shady. It needs more polishing IMO. Still not a bad game.
Do you have an intel mac? If so, then I recommend looking at review for PC games. If you find one with good reviews that sounds interesting, check to see if there's a mac version. If not, then simply play it in bootcamp.
That's what I've been doing. I've pre-ordered Mass Effect for Windows (coming out at the end of May) because it has super awesome reviews for the X-Box version, and I'm gonna buy Call of Duty 4 when Aspyr releases the port.
If you're into FPS's at all i'd recommend taking a look at the Orange Box. If you want to play it under OS X, then look into CrossOver Games, as it's supposed to work well with Steam games.
EverQuest: Mac Edition is actually a great game, I play it. The software is free, and they have a 15-day free trial. It is a lot different and more difficult then WoW, but runs on old hardware and has reasonable graphics. They don't update it with new expansions, but in some ways thats a good thing, because it's cheaper and the newer EverQuest expansions that are on the PC are utter crap. It has a very small, but nice community. It takes about a day to get it up and running, just download the free trial!

Fusion/parallels are not great for 3D games.
And btw, it takes very little time for me to restart in OS X or Windows, especially since I have like nothing loaded on the windows partition.
Far less than 60 seconds to reboot - and i get great performance.
I don't like bootcamp anymore than anyone else, but Red's right. It doesn't take that long and performance is pretty good.
Also yah, VMWare/Parallels stinks for 3d games. Yes they have 'experimental' support for Directx9 but it still isn't that great in fact even with that turned on, most games won't even play. You'll get a "video driver unsupported" or similar error. I can barely run Battle for Middle Earth with it turned on. I can't however play LOTRO at all.
So until virtualization gets better I'd either steer clear of vmware/parallels for gaming unless your playing older games or bootcamp em.
Personally I'd prefer native and/or see Crossover mature better. At least with crossover the overhead is a fraction of actual running a virtual machine.

6.2.1 lets you play GW too, I used it to run GW Factions. I have posts and screenshots of it here in the forums. It's good but it's still maturing.

If you do decide to bootcamp, then check out Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike: Source, and a half life 2 mod called Insurgency, all are a lot of fun. And keep watching Steam for weekend deals and package deals, they have them all the time with really good prices, sometimes they have games as low as $5.

Escape Velocity: Nova, by Ambrosia Software. Mac game that they actually later ported to PC.
It's the third game in the Escape Velocity series, but there's no connection between the story-lines in the different games.
Best of all, like most of Ambrosia's stuff, it's shareware. Download it and see if you like it.

I have to say, EV: Nova really is a great game and well worth looking at. Will suck you in for a while at least. Lots of different routes to take in the game and there are a lot of free addons you can download and install that add as little as a new weapon to as much as a new galaxy.
