You are on the right track. But you could be daring and take it a step further......ignore the new 13 and keep your 12 for.....better sit down, it might be a shock to your system........a 2nd year. Money saved and proof that one can cope very well using last years model. Just a suggestion
Or one could keep the 12 and add the 13 to their phone line up 😎 you never know, they might fall back in love with their pacific blue iPhone. 🤔😂

After starting the year with the graphite iPhone 12 Pro Max, I switched to the Pacific blue iPhone 12 PM for the spring/summer season.
But, man, I really regret selling my graphite phone now. I wish I still had it laying around and could start using it again.
With the summer holiday over, and going back to work, I wish I had the more premium looking graphite version again.
Anybody else feel the same way?
The blue was a fun change and suited the lighter clothes in the summer and the warm days by the blue ocean.
But, to me, it can’t replace the stealth, professional look of the graphite.
Perhaps I’m just too old, and the blue is too “hip” and “youthful” for me?
I’ve tried putting on black cases, but I just can’t “unsee” or ignore the blue camera module or the blue details at every cutout.
Anyway, what colors do you think Apple will release this fall?
I predict the silver and gold colors are the stayers.
But, I wish they would bring back a black phone (not space gray or graphite). I don’t think we’ve had a black model since the 7-series (remember the jet black? It was gorgeous, although it scratched way too easily). I don’t care if it’s matte or glossy. I just want true black.
I also there’s a good chance that they’ll introduce a “product red” color for their Pro lineup. They’ve done the midnight green and the pacific blue. I guess red might be the next “new” color.
What do you think / wish for?

I’d look for a dBrand skin to apply on it!

This is a funny thread. Everyone has their preferences. I’ve been getting the silver iPhones, iPads and laptops for years. If I case or skin it - always a white color. And I have a white car. So go figure - I’m a plain Jane when it comes to color.

I don´t know, but I feel a kind of sarcastic/hostile attitude in your replies. I hope I am mistaken, as I see no reason for replying with sarcasm. And you don't know me, or my reasons for acting like I do or feeling like I do.
Anyway, there are lots of bigger problems in the world (and in my life) these days, so the choice of an iPhone color is such a small thing, that it's not worth getting into an argument about.
The thing I wanted to ask (in a light-hearted manner), was simply if anybody else out there had purchased the Pacific blue iPhone and then regretted it later on.
I didn't buy the PB iPhone just because of the season (though I see how it could be interpreted that way from the way I wrote it), but also because I fell in love with it the moment I saw it, and frankly, also because of all the hype (the "new color", "the flagship color", etc) after having watched several YouTube reviews, where they praised the color.
I have also only owned grey/black iPhones since the iPhone 4, so I wanted to try something else.
But, the taste of colors is a personal matter, and in the end, each and everyone has to make up their own mind about what colors suit them.
And, in my case, I think the black/gray/graphite (whatever name Apple puts on it) is the one I prefer in the long run. It blends perfectly with the rest of my accessories and my style.
But, it's been nice trying out something different for a while.
So, I kindly thank those of you who have contributed in a helpful way, and I will ignore posts like "consulting a therapist", "a shock to your system", etc, as they are on the borderline of being personal insults.
Enjoy your phone, whatever color you settled for, and have a nice day!

Indeed there are. Perhaps the way you worded it made you sound like a fickle person and some folks took offense.

But like everything in life, try things out, learn from it and move ahead. So this turned out to be a lesson in knowing yourself a bit better, and to maybe stop listening to what Youtubers think! ?
As long as you’re happy with the colour, that’s all that matters.

Just before the XR was released I had the 8 and usually upgraded every 2 years. I hadn’t seen any leaks etc because I hadn’t looked.

I joked that if they released an iPhone the style of the X in blue that was cheaper than the 8 I’d buy it. Didn’t think they would.

The blue XR is my favourite iPhone ever. I absolutely adored it. And was sad when it came to upgrade time. I mistook the pacific blue of the 13 pro as the blue of the base model 13 and was gutted when the dark navy blue
13 arrived. First iPhone I’ve ever bought without going to the Apple store to have a look.

I love the shape and style of the 12, but I wish I’d kept the XR for another year as I really don’t like the colour and I’m sorry but if I’m spending £850 on something I want to love every aspect of it.

Features wise the 12 does all I need and more. I love the shape. The design. The camera is more than enough for me. But I’m hoping to upgrade to a colour I love when the 13 is released.

I know I could get a skin but as I said, I’d I’m spending £850 on something I want to love every aspect not just most of them.

I’m also aware this is very much a first world problem and I’m lucky to be in the position of having the chance to upgrade etc.

I’m tired of the drab colours, never understood the expression “I’ll pick a black phone so I don’t get tired of it”. What’s special about black (except that it’s boring ;)).

I go nuts, I like colours. I’m using a XS now, in gold, of course. Same with my MacBook Air, gold. My iPad Pro couldn’t be had in any colour, but I at least chose silver over space gray.

I’m 46 and can’t really see why a phone colour would make me seem more or less business like. On the contrary, it’s usually the young who are obsessed with their appearance. ☺️

I have the Pacific Blue in a clear case and I still like it. My other iPhones in non-clear cases easy to forget what color they are.

I love my Pacific Blue Pro Max. I’m using a Royal Blue Rhinoshield bumper, so I can show off the back of my iPhone. I also have a glass protector on the back. This is the first color in a iPhone that I didn’t get bored with. Even with the 13 series coming, I see no reason to upgrade, unless a Rose Gold iPhone Pro Max is released. Other than that, I will not part with my Pacific Blue Pro Max!!!

Would love for the 13 Pro to be released in Pacific Blue but I know that’s just probably a pipe dream ..

This is why I always buy black phones, timeless. Whereas yearly color combos get tired quickly.
