Fast shipping from apple.com (updated with pics)

It shipped on the 30th and got there on the 4th? Mine shipped on the 6th and isn't supposed to arrive until the 16th! I'm in Charlotte, NC and the package is in Memphis, TN. It's only ten hours away, but won't be here until next Monday? That seems odd.

Actually it left Memphis at 3:45 today.
 
Look. Seems like it would get here sooner doesn't it? I can't stand it. Like a child on waiting on Christmas.

However, Los Angeles is closer than Charlotte. But it left Memphis at 3:45. If it goes non-stop, it'll be here in 30 minutes! :D

Mine got from Alaska to Los Angeles in a day. I'm betting you're will get from Memphis to Charlotte in the same amount of time.

I think they flew them in from Alaska and drive them from there. Right?
 
i bought an extra 23" screen on thursday afternoon around 430pm...i had it setup on my desk my 1pm on friday afternoon...i was stunned.

i didnt even have a chance to check the order status yet....LOL


and before anyone says it....i know its lowerspec. it was a great screen before they released the USA ones, and its still a great screen. and besides, its on a student discount..;)

I noticed you're still looking at the tracking number for the whole shipment. I had a PowerBook way back when that I was tracking with the "Service Type: IP Direct Distribution". Then, I went back to my Apple Order Status page and saw that the shipment was broken up and my order was given a new tracking number ... and that it had already arrived!
 
I have estimated ship date of the 11th, I ordered on the 4th, and it still doesn't have shown as shipped yet. I also paid the extra money for the express ship. I wonder what's taking so darned long? :mad:
 
Its kind of weird, I upgraded my 24" with RAM and a 7600, but its strange that it can still take nearly a week to build and send as its coming from Apple themselves and I'd have thought it was a fairly common config. Checking today and nothing's happened with my order yet, still saying 13th for shipping and 24th for delivery.

Not that I'm impatient or anything!

I have been on and off the phone with apple now 6 times, finally the order has cleared. Apparently they were charging the wrong item (apple gift card) and not charging the credit card for the correct amount. They told me the issue was resolved Saturday, Sunday, again yesterday, and the order still was flagged with an issue. Finally today the order is cleared again, crossing my fingers that the thing goes through this time.
 
My expected shipping date was the 13th and its currently being packed in China, so I guess its not going to be an early delivery.

Does anyone know how long they typically take to get from China to the UK?
 
Woohoo! I finally got notification that it was shipped out of China this morning! I'm psyched:
2.13 C2D processor
250 GB hard drive
24" iMac
7600 GT graphics card
2 GB RAM

I am looking forward to this model because of the firewire 800 port for external hard drives and such.
 
This is how sweet Apple shipping is ...

I ordered my iMac 24 (2.16 / 2GB / 7600 / 500 GB) on 10/8, it shipped 10/10, it was delivered 10/11!

I selected standard shipping too ... how crazy is that?!

did u buy the stock model or was it a CTO order?

i'm noticing how CTO is getting faster shipping than stock model.

Nope, it wasn't a standard config. I went for the 2Gb RAM (cheaper from Apple than me adding it later) and the 7600 card.

Here's hoping! I guess the courier tracking number will appear once its at the UPS depot in China, so there's a while to wait yet.

This is agonising!
 
hey guys i got my mac today
i customized it on monday afternoon (day after my birthday)
2 1/2 days later its here! (thursday morning)
i dident even pay for express shipping :D
