Best feature for me is a full size keyboard in a compact computer. Its fantastic for people like me who write lots of code and documents...

Portability. I don't miss the optical or other ports either.

Me neither. It's very frustrating when people come up to me and say "aww that sucks, it doesn't have an optical drive". I can't remember the last time I used my power book's optical drive

I can't however recommend the Air as a primary computer, unless you don't need much space or do extensive video/audio/photo work.

MBA is definitely not designed for use as your sole computer. But maybe with external optical drive (which I have NEVER used, complete waste of $100) and apple 1TB external hard drive. Possibly could work with that.

Anyone using that?

That I can put it on my chest when I'm on bed, and comfortably read books. The other great think... Girls love her .

well for me coming from a MB & MBP, I must say that I love the full sized back lit keyboard of this super thin machine + the trackpad is awesome :D

The low weight/portability.

I live in NYC and I carry it everywhere I go. I think nothing of flipping it open to jot down a few lines, to check something, to reply to email... in the park, on the subway, in line at the drugstore even.

Until you've experienced how light it is day to day, you can't really understand what a great experience it is.

Books so good, they'll keep you up past your bed time. ;)

I love so much about my Air, I guess the best is the sheer portability - I can hold it with one hand comfortably while walking around the house (watching webcasts/movies etc)

(and the lack of dust/crap attracting ports all over is a plus too)
