Favorite iPad: My current iPad Pro 2020 11”. No complain.
Before was an iPad 3, so no competition at all. The iPad 3 also doesn’t age well. It was a bit heavy and easily get hot as well.

Favorite experience: iPad with Magic keyboard. It really replaced 80% of my MacBook Pro use case.

iPad 3, mini, mini 2, air 2, pro 10.5 and iPad 7. My favorite is the 7. Got it last year on sale for $249. Only thing I miss from the pro is the quad speakers.

Best to worse... IPP 2020, iPad 2, iPad Mini (not sure version).

Ok to be honest I don't think any of those are really comparable!!! But I had an iPad for a good few years and I mainly used it for films and browsing. When I got the IPP with MK it turned into the device I wanted. I can do everything on it that I need to and more. I can work all day on it, have meetings, watch films, play games.. slideover has really ... really helped, no missing stuff in other apps. The keyboard just makes it a device I can use all day.

I fully understand that IPP+MK+Pen is a serious investment in terms of £££. But if you have requirements you think you may be able to do on the IPP - take a look (as opposed to going for a cheaper model and use other devices).

I would say the Air 2 and the Pro 2018. It really comes down to longevity for me and both of those devices had or have it.

An honourable mention also for the iPad 2 as it was the first one I owned and changed how I consume media.

Insert: forum member’s latest iPad followed by previous iPad followed by previous model etc. ;)

Haha this is true, but that means the newer iPads generally gives better experience overall.

Unlike on the camera industry, the older sometimes gives better experience. Technology updates doesn’t always bring that.

Have owned 4 iPads thus far.

iPad 3 - killer moment was when I first mirrored my iPad to an Apple TV and realised the potential for education.

iPad mini 2 - small and light and vastly better graphics over the iPad 3.

9.7” iPad Pro - the Apple Pencil completely rethought the writing experience for me. It was also then that iOS supported split-screen and PIP and chilling at home involved Tweetbot and safari side by side, with protube running in PIP mode.

2018 11” iPad Pro - my current iPad, and the first where I got the Smart Keyboard as well. Love the typing experience, it’s just so fast for everyday tasks and I see myself sticking with the iPad for a good long time to come.

I think my least favourite iPad I owned was the Air one. All the other iPads I’ve owned (mini 1, mini 2, mini 3, mini 4, mini 5, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro 10.5 and iPad Pro 11 I’ve really enjoyed.

iPad Pro 2018. Absolutely loved the addition of Face ID for unlocking and bigger screen size. Mine still feels like I just bought it.
Same, it was my dream iPad design (after owning the 1st iPad I decided I did not like the home button so an all screen design is perfect.) It also has so much raw power too (it still won’t be slowed for many, many more more iPadOS’ updates or new apps.)

It is also a super beautiful looking piece of tech (I find myself admiring the work done on it every now and again.) ???? jk. Lol

For me it would be Air 2 and iPad Pro 2018. Was awesome getting Face ID on an iPad. iPad Air 2 was the first iPad I felt really and totally delivered on the thin and light aspect that the form factor promised while still getting great performance.

Favorite is still my iPad mini 4 that I still prefer to use over my 2018 11" Pro. While experience using the Pro is much nicer, I love the size of the mini so much more.

Experience: iPad in stand typing with Bluetooth Apple keyboard. Something about the detached keyboard and display make it seem more futuristic.

Device: Air Gen 3.
Why air gen 3?

edit: I see what u mean never mind

My current iPad Pro 10.5”. I’ve only had the iPad 4th Generation and original first iPad, so the competition isn’t exactly strong. As most Apple fans know, the first iPad did not last long at all, especially compared to the iPad 2, and the iPad 4th Gen did serve me well for a while, but get really slow after like 3-4 years. I’m on my third year with the 10.5” and have yet to see major slowdowns.

I’m sure my actual favorite would be a 2020 12.9” Pro, but I haven’t bought it since I still don’t consider it enough of an upgrade, which is a testament to how good my 10.5 has been.
