Am I missing something? Or was CivIV just laggy for me? I got it and it ran like crap and uninstalled it within minutes.

@CaptainZap, you're not missing anything. The demo did okay on my MacBook Core 2, but it's definitely a taxing game. Even on a rather souped up PC I had, my computer got overtaxed every time in the endgame of Civ IV because I had very little RAM. In any case, it's definitely much more straining on a system than previous versions.

In a somewhat related (but not related to this forum topic) note, has everyone heard? They announced Civilization: Revolution, the next version of the game, and it will include consoles as well. This somewhat scares me.

Dungeon Siege (need to find another copy, I lost mine, pm me if you are willing to sell yours)
Warcraft III
Starcraft
Neverwinter Nights (and expansions)
Grid Wars
Heroes of Might and Magic (If I have to choose one I would say 3)

Just some ones I cold think of off the top of my head.

I'd have trouble picking one...Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now (you have to say the whole name!) is an amazing classic favorite. Never gets old.

As far as newer games go, I've beaten Max Payne 3 times. It never seems to get old, even though it's a scripted storyline. I love the noir feel. Even though I broke my addiction, WoW is a really awesome game. I played for 18 months, haven't played in at least a year and still want to go back.

1) Apeiron

2) Barrack [OS 9 only, unfortunately... :( ]

A close 3rd would be Escape Velocity, with the Star Wars add-on (the one that worked well, from the late 90s).

Any word on another Escape Velocity game? I enjoyed Nova, but I'd something a little more along the lines of the original. More human based factions rather than alien.
