An odd question, but are there any features that are actually removed or crippled in iOS 5? I'm planning on continuing to use MobileMe until it expires in June of next year, as the MobileMe Gallery is a great solution for my needs. In iOS 5, the Gallery app works, but there is no "Send to MobileMe" option in the share menu of the Photos app.

What else has gone away?

As you all know, Siri is now part of iPhone 4S. I was using Siri on my iPhone 4 before the iOS5 update and was pretty cool. Oh well...

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

Even Tho I decided to go ahead and upgrade to the 4S, I would have liked to have been able to keep Siri on my 4, and my wife actually used it and didn't upgrade to the "S" so she thinks the same. I wish the video was still merged with iPod. The thing I likes about the iPod icon is that people who were unfamiliar new that the iPhone, included a iPod.

Exactly. Now when people ask me does my iPhone have an iPod on it, instead of a simple "Yep!", I have to say, "No, but it does have music and video apps that provide the same functionality."

Instead of separating the iPod app on the iPhone they should have made them one app on the ipod touch

Seriously? The name of the app really throws you that bad? This is just to align the iPhone with the iPad, since it always had a music and video app. Why should they be mixed anyway? They are completely different medium.

Calendar

Within the calendar alerts, you use to be able to set it twice.
Always used to set for meetings with an hour left before, and then 30 mins before so at that point I knew it was my final wake up call to start on my way to the meeting. Now gone... Why.

Strange thing is all the appointments I had set prior to the change from Iphone 4 to 4s have still got both alerts. But all new do not.

I still have two alerts for my calendar items in iOS 5....

Being able to make video playlists is gone. I still have my old video playlist but since they made videos and music separate apps I can no longer select videos for playlists. I also tried making them in itunes but it still isn't selectable when syncing the iphone.

Folk complaining about lack of iPod icon: create a folder called "iPod", drag the video and music player inside. Problem solved.

My biggest complaint is lack of arrow buttons in the camera app to go back and forth between photos.

You are FORCED to swipe now, and it isn't nearly as fast as being able to hold down the arrow. :( Bring it back, Apple.

Siri was available in the App Store and I installed it. I think it's cool. As it is now (no longer in the App store), why limit it to just the 4S if the iPhone 4 can use it, too. Bummer...

When I think of an iPod, it is an MP3 player. An iPod is a device. But with the iPhone, for me it seems more appropriate to call it "Music" vs "iPod" since we are talking about music on a device which is a smart phone and not an MP3 player. But that is just me. I like the change. ;)

Two alarms only seem to exist in icloud calendars, presumably to make icloud calendars look "better".

If you use google calendar, you can still set many email and sms notifications via the web interface.

Be careful. Lots of Mobile Me customers (including myself) are losing their documents when syncing with iCloud. Back up all your iWork documents before your transition.

Time Capsule Remote Access

Remote "back to my mac" access to your time capsule disk no longer works once you update to iCloud.

select all is gone in emails and other apps.

What do you mean by this one? I still have select all when I'm typing. Do you mean it's gone when you're reading (e.g. if you select from a webpage)? Was it there previously? (Ooh, and I didn't know there was this increase/decrease quote level feature now in composing e-mails!)
