they FedEx just said they cannot locate it, it's lost, sorry...
i guess it worths depriving it as his own for FedEx guy at the expense of paying the fine or even losing his job.

What are you trying to say?? Please make your post more clear

it was supposed to be delivered last Thursday, now i called them, they just told me they lost the package. that's it. What i was guessing is FedEx guy stole it.. i've been waiting for so long... i'm so pissed

btw, english is my second language,

Call Apple and let them fight with FedEx. Anyway, FedEx is responsible to refund the item because AFAIK, their delivery is insured

Fedex tracks stuff every step of the way, literally they will bar code scan an item when it checks in at a warehouse, gets put on a truck, etc.

So, in all likelihood considering the price of the item they will find it, even if it means someone gets fired for "losing" it.

We should fine you for grammar.

We should fine you for your inability to be helpful. The guy is clearly upset and I'd even go as far to say that English isn't his first language. Have some compassion.

VicX: Apple will undoubtedly issue you a new one right away. Just give them a call. Apple will deal with FedEx separately.

The FedEx guy stealing it is indeed possible. But do you know what else is possible ? That FedEx genuinely LOST you're iMac. I wouldn't start making assumptions with no evidence at all. I've never really used FedEx for anything, what did they say they can do for you ?

it's the waiting that is killing me. i literally have no hope at this point that they will find it, coz they keep telling me from last Thursday that they cannot locate my package, they're sorry...blah blah...

Don't worry, I understood you fine.

Just keep calling FedEx about getting you a replacement as soon as they can.

no, they can't, the only word in their dictionary is SORRY

The good news is that you don't have to wait for them to find it. Please call Apple right now and tell them. I bet you they send one to you today. It's only noon where you are.

UPS and FedEx get confused at times... I ordered some memory for the new 27 Quad and my tracking indicates it is out for delivery in Salt Lake City, UT. However, I live in Las Vegas, NV... :D:D:D

when you track your package does it say it was delivered? maybe they dropped it off at another house?

Did you know most fedex drivers are independent contractors? They own their own routes. maybe the driver said screw it and decided to keep yours for himself.

Fedex right now is also hiring temp drivers just for the holiday season at only $11 per hour. It wouldn't surprise me if it was stolen

thank you jessica and all of you guys here
yes, they apple will re-shipping me a new one via 2day, again FedEx..
actually i'm not quite worrying about losing my money, it's all about all the waiting and disappointment. i have mid-terms around the corner, i've wasted too much time in this calling, explaining and upsetting myself... no more time for distraction

I agree. Let Apple deal with FedEx, they know more about laws and terms etc.

Surely you're disappointed, but when dealing with a major organization that chooses one delivery company over another they are undoubtedly going to have insurance to deal with such issues. Whether it was stolen, fell off the back of a truck or what, Apple will make it right.

The good news is that you did not sign for a package or allow them to leave it at the door where someone could swipe it. Had that been the case this battle would be a bit more of a hassle to deal with.

I'd also ask to see if Apple can throw in overnight shipping. They'll just charge FedEx for it.

I've had a similar situation where a canadian courier company lost an apple package of mine. (It was software, but it still should hold.) I called the courier company to confirm that it had been lost and then I called Apple. Apple told me to contact the courier, I said I had already done so and so Apple filed a claim with the courier company and resolved my issue by next-daying (at no cost to me) a new copy of the software to my door. Needless to say, I was impressed with Apple's customer support on that matter.

So to echo the advice that has been given already, get Apple involved.

I've always said that it's not very clever to ship the Mac boxes without an outer box that does NOT say what's inside.
I really don't want to know how many of those Apple boxes get 'lost' every year.

I've had this kind of problem already in the past. I guess that FedEx just can't ship to Canada correctly. This is why I never buy from Internet for big items, I can't stand the wait. I will wait for my University to get in stock models before I buy mine!

And BTW English is also my second language, and I understood you just fine don't worry.

not possible i guess, i did several upgrades on this machine including the Graphic card, they're re-shipping it in 3-5 business days. anyway it does not say "in November" at this time TT
hopefully, this Friday

i would also push for next day shipping...

I assumed the "2nd day delivery" is the same as "next day", no?

this logic is fresh to me. i never lost my packages before, which are not as big and expensive as this one though. i used to trust carriers so much.
i know, they're people, they're not saints in heaven.

I think it means two day delivery, but I would definitely pushed for overnight for the inconvenience.

Glad that hopefully it is sorted now, I would be very upset if I ordered something like an imac and it never arrived.

When is it due to you?
